Artsy and new canvas issues?

I ended up returning my Delightful earlier this week. None of the SAs were surprised by the peeling. My SA sort of shook her head in disappointment at the quality and gave me a store credit no questions asked. She advised me not to repurchase the Delightful for now and to wait until they resolved it. She also acknowledged that the Artsy canvas has been a huge problem for LV already. On my way out she walked with me outside of the store for a while and told me she was leaving LV for Hermes. Maybe she is sick of the issues too. Either way, I am sad to lose a trustworthy SA,

I have a 3rd Artsy because I really want this bag. Im semi obsessed with it [emoji23]They are saying that they've NEVER seen anything like what is happening to my bags.. My first bag date was SD0125 and the second one was SD1105 and my new one is SD0115... All made in the US! I haven't noticed any peeling as of yet. However I will be watching closely and if anything else occurs Ill get the Sully..


I've owned three and two were made in the US... My last is Spain and haven't had the first trouble besides this rubber canvas! Guess I'll take the rubber over peeling and cracking...

What a disappointment! LV should really "recall" the new canvas bags but I'm sure they don't want to lose the money. They're probably hoping most people won't notice the bubbling on the canvas. I feel bad for people not on tpf- who might think THEY caused the bubbling and not realizing it's a widespread quality control issue. Defective canvas- or at least the coating they put on top.
I really want the new Delightful but I'm going to wait until LV changes the canvas. I bet LV won't advertise the newer canvas so we'll just have to wait for people who are brave enough to buy...
I went to the boutique to look at the new Delightfuls and the canvas is really supple and soft. I didn't see any signs of bubbling or defects but I walked away and just bought a bag charm instead.
 
All of guys who are having canvas issues be very careful! After having canvas issues with 4 artsy's LV gave me my money back. Then the next day fed ex delivered me a DO NOT SHOP letter from LV. Which stated that I can longer Visit their stores and they no longer want my business. All because of their own quality issues! I was upset at first but I now could care less I own 15 LV items and I'll be fine with those. I've only made TWO other exchanges before this. So ladies be careful!

That's terrible! It's like they're trying to hide the problems they're having. I would be so angry. Did you have the bubbling and peeling?

That is seriously messed up. I really have no words...

Was the manager kind about the issue, or did they seem peeved? Other ladies on here have had no problems exchanging their bags 3-4 times. That really just baffles me that they would ban a client over defective merchandise. And your two previous exchanges were not enough to warrant a letter from them.
 
The level of respect and customer services varies from state to state and person to person! Other ladies may not have had issues doing 3-4 exchanges but I did and that is why I wanted to give everyone a heads up. If u just love LV and wouldn't want to be banned be careful with the exchanges. Even if it's a quality issue. I'm more of a Chanel lover so I was not heart broken. However someone may have been by this. So my comment was simply a FYI

I was merely stating the facts, and if anything, I was being supportive. I'm almost sensing this comment to be defensive. When I said others have had no problems exchanging, it was more of me reiterating the shock factor and how unacceptable this is.

Obviously customer service will vary from store to store. That is why I asked you if the manager you dealt with was kind about the issue or seemed really peeved by the perpetual exchanging. Maybe their demeanor would have been a clue to the outcome. That's all I meant.

Anyway, thanks for sharing your experience. It's appreciated.
 
I'm not being defensive.. Yes they said that they had never had the issue before and that my bags were coming in contact with something that had caused the issue., which was false because all my bags are stored and cared for the same way and none of them were peeling.

WHAT??? Are you serious? They do that kind of thing??? I'm disappointed, to say the least!
