Artsy and new canvas issues?

Thank you. I did feel insulted. Once this is resolved, I may very well write a complaint letter. Maybe she'll become 1 step closer in receiving additional training in customer service😊.
 
A few things I want to point out:

1. I would not have mentioned that the bag was bought secondhand. It could have been a gift for all they know; origin of purchase is irrelevant. As long as the bag is authentic, they will repair it.

2. Canvas can not be repaired, unfortunately. Once it cracks, peels, flakes, tears, etc, that's it. They will not be able to fix this issue. They can only repair faulty hardware and leather trimmings.

3. The peeling was most likely not caused by the previous owner's habits of maitenence, as clearly evidenced by the proliferating reports of the issue in this thread/forum, and your
findings of another bag
They should offer to replace your bag or give a store credit. That's the least I would accept.

Good point! I bought my artsy brand new with receipt from tradesy. Should I tell them it's a gift to avoid the secondhand issue?
 
I wouldn't volunteer any info. If they look up the name on the receipt, then yes, I would just say it was a gift if they ask. I wouldn't bring it up until it gets to that point.
Went in today without the receipt and manager said they can't do anything without it. But then he said he can look up transaction with name and found it that way. I exchanged for artsy azur. I'm steering clear of the new mono. I wanted the delightful but i think i'll go with the old model. Thanks

Tradesey is secondhand. I wouldn't volunteer this information. The only actual new Louis Vuitton bags (per Louis Vuitton purposes) are from Louis Vuitton. No matter what someone on tradesey tells you, these bags are used.
 
I bought my first artsy in Dec 2013. Back in Feb I noticed some cracking around the top of my bag. I took it to my LV store and they exchanged it for the new artsy. Today I was getting out of the car with my bag and something at the top edge caught my eye. All around the edge there is peeling. When I inspected the bottom and there is peeling all along the bottom as well. I think I am going to take it back to the store this week and get a different style bag until they get the issue fixed. I'm so sorry this happened to your bag...

Just wanted to mention that a few have also had peeling with the Delightful and Totally, in case if you were considering either.

I'm sure LV will take care of this for you. QC is most likely well aware of the issue by now. Please let us know how it goes, and can't wait to see what you end up getting! :smile1:

So sad, so sad. That's just like my first Artsy looked - peeling all over. My second Artsy started to peel as well...no Artsy for me either until they have fixed this problem. Good luck going back to the store, hope you find a nice replacement :p

That is terribly, terribly sad! I have truly adored my Artsy even though it's everything I don't normally like in a bag. It's big, unstructured, and monogrammed. However, it's an incredible bag. So terribly sorry you've had this trouble!

I've decided to pass on it all together. I'm turned off by the issues. I'm not going to wait around for them to fix it, that would be unfair to myself. I tried the leather one on in the store and it was quite heavy for an empty bag. Azur is beautiful, but I would baby it. So I'm just going to admire Artsy from afar and move on to something less temperamental...
