ahertz- Is there a photo of your upgrade posted on one of the threads? What are the specs?

I never posted a pic of my upgrade--I tried once to take pictures but it didn't turn out well and then I gave up. I just attached this super crappy picture that I just now took with my computer so you can get an idea. It's a 1.76 H SI1 with halo (not sure of tcw) on a size 5.75. And a better pic of my first ering (1.03 I VS1).

Gorgeous rings!! I love them both :)

If you insulted someone's ring on "a certain diamond forum," it wouldn't be tolerated there, either.

Which was exactly my point.

I. Did. Not. Insult. Anyones. Ring.

When I see rings I do not care for, I bite my tongue. Since my post is no longer active, it is quite a bit harder for me to defend what I wrote.

What I wrote, basically, and I will say this nicer than I did before, in a much more adult manner, is that I do not understand women who feel it is their god given right to have a ring that is a specific size. I absolutely did not point out names, and while my post could certainly have used a bit more tact, my points remain the same. No one is owed anything. It is not your given right when you are getting engaged to only accept a ring above such a size. That is childish, selfish and disgusting.

I have been an active member of PS for several years now. Over the years, many girls have come in (and very recently might I add) that they did not get the ring they deserved. They *wanted* more. They *need* more. Remember the recent thread of the girl who complained her 1.7 carat was small, and *boo-hoo what should I do*? That is the type of girl I am sick of. Apparently she was made in God's Almighty Image and anything below what she wanted is not good enough.

It's sad. It's *disgusting*. I am a diamond fan, and love diamonds of *all* sizes. My first engagement ring was just shy of a carat. The ring I have now, is comparable to Swankys.

My *true* point, and which I will admit, came out a little rude, is that if you are going to marry a man based on the size of the ring he will or will not get you, I do not expect your marriage to last very long. I think people that are *really* in love would marry their significant other with a damn twist-tie!

Does this make it a bit more clear?

I absolutely did not single anyone out, and I did not attack a single person on this thread- more of the idea behind this thread.

I hope she does come over to PS. We'll make short work of her there, as well:wtf: Perhaps there is a sofa king in her future....

How nice of you. We have actually chatted before and you have said nice things to me before.

The people that have been made *short work of* are the exact people I am talking about. The self-rightous women that believe they are owed something they clearly are not.

I do want to point out that I am talking about a clear difference between wanting an upgrade and *wink wink* putting your time in, than just believing the universe owes you greatly.

Risingsun, I don't think you even saw the post I wrote previously. It was a little snarky, and Ya-gotta-do-what-ya-gotta-do in deleting it, but it never once attacked anyone.

Just like I believe you are entitled to your opinion, I hope that you can respect that, apparently since we have different views, that does *not* mean I am not entitled to mine.

I don't Mod that forum, perhaps our rules are different. If you are offensive or rude here, it won't fly. Another forum is completely irrelevant.

:back2topic:

*tap tap tap*

Yeah, I was a bit offensive. But maybe to the people I struck a chord with? I don't appreciate you making it seem like I was attacking people in this thread as I *clearly* did not. I guess my point in my above post is that it looks like there is a double standard here.

1) On another forum, we will bash you because you (not *you specifically Swanky*) are materialistic and should be put in your place.

2) On thiiiiis forum, we will bash you because you were snotty, perhaps fed up with *deserving women* and wanted to chime in that it is not about the ring, but the love. (Which I can see totally came out wrong).

But I, again, did *NOT* flame anyone.

Hi,
No one in this thread is in need of your enlightening and your condescending post I removed.
People posting rude posts w/ the excuse of "I'm only being honest, should I be a follow and lie next time?" is tired.
You know you could have been nicer about it. It was short and it was harsh.
This whole premise behind the Purse Forum is that people can come and "shallowly obsess", it was our slogan, if you will, for a while. This is a forum for material goods.
Perhaps our frivolity isn't right for everyone?:shrugs:
If someone here whined about their diamond not being big enough, trust me, people WILL say something. But your post was sort of out of left field and from someone we haven't yet gotten to know, and it bothered enough people for them all to report it.

Our community is unique in that for the insane # of members, we manage to keep it pretty respectful here. Jabs and judgmental comments just won't fly.

Keep it clean.

PM me so we can stop threadjack.
