Okay, before I nauseate everyone with all my posts…one last pic. I really like the teeny lock with this old Pandora pave station necklace double-wrapped. Think this will be my 24/7 choker for a while.

My lock collection. The rose gold baby lock arrived last week; I bought it with a Farfetch coupon code. Despite the many other shapes Marla has, the regular ones speak to me the most; they are very versatile. (Oops... I have a silver bolt lock that’s not included in this photo; haha! It’s on a bracelet that I made.)
I work in the industry and Marla made a very big public splash about us stealing her carabiner lock, which was just a finding we bought on Etsy. Don’t pay thousands for something you can find on Etsy for $5.00. Marla is rip off and kind of a bad person from what I’ve discovered ♂️ My intro to her brand was her accusing me of stealing from her even tho I never heard of her. Cancelled.
Do these always stay screwed shut when you wear them? Or is there a possibility they could loosen by themselves and fall off?
Did Marla aaron invent the style? I see lots of carabiner jewelry on Etsy, but it’s not solid gold or silver
Unfortunately, I too have suffered at her (or her legal team’s?) wrath, but it was because I sold carabiner jewelry (chains, beaded strands and the like) and made the mistake of tagging her because my stuff was compatible with her jewelry. lol
l’d be lying if I said I didn’t think her pieces are overpriced... I’m taking a break from buying from her for a while. Hopefully there won’t be another price increase if I decide to get something later on, but who knows...
That aside, there are many cheap knock-offs made of lower quality materials that are obviously trying to capitalize off her success by creating similar designs... though there are a few who weren’t/aren’t and just happen to sell carabiners, in addition to other items (Jessica Kagan Cushman comes to mind; plenty of folks copy her designs too, sadly enough).
Good to know. I really like how it’s mix and match but yeah her prices are high!
