Anyone ever purchase at farfetch.com?

It depends on the country actually, i think for within Europe and US you guys dont have to pay tax, but im from new zealand and had to pay twice for two separate orders i placed within a week. Ouch! Good thing it was worth it cos I loved what i bought, but lesson learnt :(

Oh no, what a bummer! I am always scared of buying from international sites because of the same reason so I always make sure to read their FAQs and if I am still unsure I contact the company first to double check. Nobody likes surprise fees! Maybe it's just NZ and AUS who get extra fees charged with farfetch, I know things are always super expensive in those two places so I think it's just you guys who get the extra charges because I haven't heard of anyone else getting those charges.

Thanks@chicNclassy but yea I was aware of that.It was just a general question not relevant to farfetch at all.I apologize if this is the wrong forum to ask this question.

Oops yeah this thread is specifically about farfetch so I thought you were asking about that.

No one likes surprise fees indeed!! Luckily I bought both things on sale too. And now I've learned that unless the website says "all duties paid for, price is final", or uses Borderfree and lists the duties payable in the checkout page, anything that says "may have to pay" means "will have to pay"! And omg you understand us being from down and under, things get hideously more expensive :( I saw a Chanel GST costing USD2900, but over 4500AUD in Australia!

What I find very unfair with Farfetch is that the sale % are much higher for the US than for the EU. For example, a pair of Maison Margiela sneakers sold by an Italian boutique was 40% when I set my default country to the Netherlands (EU). As soon as I switched my default location to the US, the discount percentage went up to 60%.

I have family in both NZ and AUS, have visited NZ before so I definitely know all about the insanely high prices for just about anything! Guess that's the price you have to pay to live somewhere so gorg lol :)

Oh wow I didn't know it varied like that. Maybe its a lower percentage off to compensate for the customs/duty fees?

Oh my goodness that's such a positive way of looking at it haha. Thanks for the on-the-bright-side comment :) Apart from luxury shopping variety, I can't complain about anything else here :P

I have purchased from FF many times and had great experiences. However, I have never needed to make a return. I recently purchased a pricey bag that turned out to be the wrong shade if gold I needed, so I returned the bag. The bag arrived at the FF dispatch w/in 2days, but after 10days I had not received a refund. I called the customer service number and the associate verified receipt of the bag and immediately refunded the money even though the bag had not yet arrived at the actual boutique. I was very happy with the service and would not worry about having to make a return in the future. BTW, free returns do not occur if you use their courier pick up service... See the fine print.

This is my first post on TPF. I have ordered three items from Farfetch this year. A Fendi small By The Way tote from The Corner Berlin boutique, Saint Laurent large Monogram satchel from Chapeau Woman boutique and Saint Laurent small Monogram' envelope wallet from Vitkac boutique. I was happy with the two handbags, however, the small wallet I received from Vitkac boutique came with a small spot of glue (see photo) on the front of the wallet. It also had a odd smell to it. I noticed that the wallet was the only one they had left in stock and suspect they wanted to get rid of it. Considering the wallet was listed for $492 CAD, I was not pleased it came in that condition. I contacted Farfetch as I see the wallet is also available at a different boutique and requested for an exchange. They replied and declined my request as exchanges can only be performed from the same boutique. While I understand that policy in terms of the logistics, I am very displeased with the fact they did not offer any other resolution aside from returning and re-ordering. I believe Farfetch has the responsibility to resolve the issue when it's their supplier that shipped out a sub-par product. I end up using a leather cleaner to clean off the glue and tried various ways to remove the smell. I did not want to go through the trouble of returning / reordering. I would purchase from Farfetch again (due to the low prices), but will avoid Vitkac boutique and with full anticipation Customer Service would offer their assistance, but will definitely not go above and beyond (which is what they need to do to become a great company).

Does anyone have an experience buying from Stefania Mode? How was the packaging and the item itself?

Planning to purchase a pair of shoes from that boutique, but not quite sure if this boutique serves a good quality product.

Also, what boutiques do you think is the best to purchase items in ff?

Thanks

I have purchased Rockstud heels from them and also a love latch purse from them (2 separate purchases).

Both times the purchases were well packed.

Hello everyone, just want to ask if any of you had experience purchasing with Fusco, Italy & Nida, Italy. If so, how's your experience when it comes to packaging of the items and the quality (does the item really looks new). Thanks
