Farfetch used to be awesome, so many great deals about 2 years ago. Now the prices are too high, their sales aren’t great. I haven’t ordered anything in a couple years. They did send me a defective bag once, the strap attachments where sewn on backwards! I got a refund right away. They always used to refund me all my money except for the $10 shipping fee. I don’t know if that’s changed.

The receipt I had with the item had a different lower price than what I see on my Order in my online account (which is what I paid), so I called them up, and they said the difference is customs which I won't be getting refunded!

Wow, that’s terrible! So their policies have definitely changed. Are you in the US? They used to be all duties taxes and fees included, except for the flat $10 shipping fee. Back then I ordered a ton of bags thinking it would only cost me $10 if I didn’t like them. And it did only cost me $10 to return things all the way back to the UK.

yes, I am in the US. May be I can try calling them up to inform about the damage, that may or may not change things. There wasn't any place for me to put the reason on the return slip i filled, just date and signature. Fortunately, I took some pictures of the leather peeling.

Oh for sure call them. I think I made a big fuss about the defective bag, and that one time they even refunded me the $10 shipping fee too, now that I think about it.
That was 2 years ago though, they might not be so willing this time. But it doesn’t hurt to try. Send them the pictures!

I bought a Dolce & Gabbana Amore handbag from them, at 40% off and then another 10% welcome offer. The bag arrived quickly, shipped from Italy's D&G warehouse, but it had some horrible blue stain on the hardware/logo!! I managed to get a bit of it off and it's not really too noticeable anymore from the front, unless you look really really closely. I would have returned it to buy a new one but the 40% off literally disappeared the next day and they wouldn't do exchanges... By the time I realised it really bothered me, the 14 day free returns period had ended and now I have an almost perfect bag :( Guess this is the price I pay for a cheaper bag... As a student I can't complain I got it at 40% off, but now I don't know what to do - leave it, wear it and nobody will really notice? I did contract farfetch, sent them images and they sent it to D&G but I don't know what they can do about it. My other 2 purchases, Gucci belt and Ferragamo scarf, have also both come defective and will be going straight back. Basically, I'd avoid farfetch and buy with the original brand unless it's an insane discount...! :/

@Annawakes I've noticed the same thing over the last few years, so I haven't made a purchase on Farfetch since 2019. My two purchases were a Comme Des Garçons wallet at 20% off from a boutique in Spain and a See by Chloé Hana crossbody 50% off from a boutique in Italy. Love them both! They arrived new in perfect condition, I still use them regularly, and they look hardly worn. I liked being able to search the name of the boutique under "Orders" and know it was coming from a brick-and-mortar with a history. Return policy was great peace of mind too but I didn't needed it.

Nowadays? I've proceeded with caution with some of the stories I've read in this forum. Farfetch would only be an option for me now if the deal was too good to pass up and it's for something I've been wanting for a long time.

sorry to hear this. Did you by chance use a CC to purchase this that has protection. I know my CC would allow me to return it to chase and they would refund me the price I paid

Do people's bags from Farfetch usually come with the original box? My D&G bag came with only a dustbag and no box - I know the devotion bags come in a really nice box, amore bag didn't come with one... None of my other farfetch items came with a box either!

Seems like the shoes come with original boxes... but I've read that in most cases, they just send a dust bag and tags...

I ordered a Gucci marmont super mini from Farfetch... got the tracking the next day but the weight is 1.1 lb. I know the bag is tiny but after a box and dust bag, wouldn't it weigh more than just 1 lb? The only luxury item I've ever ordered that weighed 1 lb was a LV key pouch...

Hi, I know this response is very delayed, lol but I'm starting to get very nervous as I buy luxury from Farfetch and TJmaxx and a few other sites. I'm starting to think that no place is safe except the boutiques and large department stores and even those places can easily have a fake returned to them and not know and resell it to someone else. What do we do??

I guess we’re trusting in Farfetch… or well TJMaxx is… At my Runway store a lot of the bags still have the Farfetch tags still on them, so I’m guessing that’s where TJ Maxx sources their runway stuff from… I got a Gucci bag from there and it looked identical to the website and the ones I’ve seen around so fingers crossed… I’ll just enjoy it…
