UPDATE

I just got off the phone with DHL and started an investigation. They made an exception to open the investigation for me, since the sender is the one who should start the investigation. I was quite shocked to hear that they hadn't started it yet, if they were innocent wouldn't you contact the courier company first thing?
DHL informed me that the packaged was NOT insured and there wasn't much that they could do - except check if maybe something has gone wrong in transit.. so I have very minimum expectation from them.
Hope next time I'll post with some good news :(

I'm so sorry to read about your missing bag from Babylon Bus. I haven't bought from them. I sent a message to them once about one of their items for sale and they never responded so I bought elsewhere. I often buy from farfetch though and their service has improved dramatically over the last 12 months or so, but some boutiques are better than others. And as already been mentioned, postal theft is not unknown in Italy - some transfer depots are notorious. Fingers crossed for a perfect outcome - very sorry this has happened to you :(

I'm thinking about buying some shoes through Farfetch.com. The boutique that is selling them is called Eraldo and they're based out of Italy. Does anyone have any feedback on them?

TIA!

I'm so sorry to hear about this ordeal. Any update?

has anyone order dolce and gabbana dress from far fetch ?is it good?
Farfetch is not a boutique, it is an intermediary that links you to independent boutiques. So it depends on what specific boutique you want to purchase the dress from.

I got my Givenchy Antigona from them about a year ago and have no complaints. Prompt shipping and I think the packaging was quite nice too. But I'm situated in the EU; if you're based outside of the EU then you might want to do some additional research on possible postal/customs issues that might arise.

Thanks for the feedback! I couldn't find any information on how things have gone for US purchasers but the fact that things went smoothly for you is perhaps a positive thing.

Yes, very nice store. I've purchased two or three times from Eraldo - all positive experiences. They even sent me a delicious treat with a pre-Christmas purchase :)

Thank you for the feedback! That makes me feel so much better about going for the purchase.
I just ordered a B-V bag from Eraldo a couple of weeks ago. It was my first experience ordering from farfetch and my first from Eraldo. Everything went really well! It took the store a day or two before they shipped it, and all told it took about week to get to my house, but it was well packaged and came with all the usual B-V markings/tags/dustbag. So no complaints here!

Thanks so much for the great feedback--I caved and ordered a pair of Lanvin flats that Eraldo had on sale--now I'm just crossing my fingers that they fit me!

I've purchased through FarFetch a couple of times over the past few years. All positive experiences. This year, I ordered a BV item from a Polish boutique featured on Farfetch called Vitkac. They shipped the package the next day by DHL. I received sent tracking info. and it arrived to me in the U.S. within a week. Beautiful wrapping. Frankly, it was a better experience than buying from the BV.com

I'm back to report on my experience with Farfetch, specifically Eraldo, a boutique in Italy. I placed an order for my Lanvin flats late at about midnight on Wednesday the 11th. The shoes shipped about the next day via DHL and they arrived this morning, Monday the 16th.

I think for coming around the other side of the world (I'm in California) the shipping was pretty darn quick--I've had orders from J.Crew or Nordstrom that take longer!

The shoes were in their original Lanvin box, included the dust bag and were nicely wrapped in tissue paper. The shoes are perfect! I would highly recommend Eraldo based on my experience. I wouldn't hesitate to order from them again!

Great to hear! Did you have to pay any import duties?

No additional import duties--I think I was charged about a total of $30 or so for shipping and costs. The flats were about $313 so I felt like I was paying about 10% in "fees" for the shoes which seemed really reasonable since the sales tax for me is 8%. Plus I got the flats for much less than my options here in the US!
