Hey there! Thanks so much for your reply in this thread!!
Sounds like a really good experience! Pffff fingers crossed I'll have a good experience like you too! If you go back in this thread you'll see that there are some people that had less pleasant experiences as well! How long ago did you order from farfetch? and did it take long for them to ship out the order?

Hope you have a pleasant day!

I ordered from Biondini. On 26may. It was shipped 27may and I got it 29may. Paris to Maryland, usa.

Oh, and if you want a free shipping code, pm me your email address. We will both get one if I send you the referral. (Shipping was $16)

Hey everyone! :smile1: I'm debating on getting the gianvito rossi pvc pumps from the Biondini boutique in Paris, but am nervous about how strict they (and farfetch) are on the return policy. Apparently they don't take the item back if they don't receive the item within 14 days of you first receiving it. Would shipping from LA in the US make it to Paris within 14 days? Any experiences with returns at the Biondini boutique in Paris, anyone? Thanks!

I had a good experience. Please see the posts I just made if youre still interested in hearing about it :)

Hi,
I just bought a Givenchy wallet from Farfetch last night and I've been on edge since due to the very mixed reviews. Has anyone dealt with the Jofré (Spain) boutique and how smooth was the transaction?
Would really appreciate any input! Thanks!

UPDATE #2

I have HORRIBLE news and would like to seek any support I can get!

For more information on my ordering process check my first post.
I ordered a Givenchy Antigona Small Black in Goatskin leather bag from Babylon Bus via Farfetch.
The order was placed on Friday 30 May and was shipped on Tuesday 3 June. On a positive note the shipping was really fast since I received the parcel today (Wednesday4 June).
However when I received the parcel I was very shocked. The box was completely damaged and was full of tears and duct tape. When I opened my parcel there was no bag to be seen. I received a lot of stuffing material, ripped shorts with their tag attached, a black blazer, a green and brown leather bag and a few Vogue magazines from the year 2009. There was no invoice or any documents whatsoever. My heart is still pounding as I write this. I am out of 1478,36 EUR and I have not received anything. As soon as I got myself together I taped the box back together and I have sent it back to the original address for another 26 EUR. I have contacted the customer service and they have sent me an email back that they were going to investigate the matter. I also opened a dispute on Paypal.

Please please look out! I do not advise to buy from Babylon Bus, they seem very fraudulent. At first I thought they might have messed up my order... but it seems very unlikely.
Farfetch has replied very quickly to any queries I had and I honestly think the problem lies with the boutiques that Farfetch works with. I wish the boutiques had to send in the orders to be controlled by Farfetch before they get shipped to their final destination.

Any thoughts about my matter would be very much appreciated!
I will update as soon as I hear more news.

I also made pictures of the parcel I received. If anyone is interested I can share them with you here!

I honestly hope that I will help someone out with this information and help them prevent from having the same experience.
:rain::cry::sad:

^^ I feel so sad for you! Hopefully you will get your money back and find the bag somewhere else, if you still want the bag after this horrible experience.
I like browsing around at the farfetch website, and i think the idea behind it is great, but apparently they should be more precautious of who they do business with.

Oh no. I am sorry. :(

I would send those pictures to Farfetch customer service if you haven't yet.

Also, isn't Babylon Bus in Italy? I have never experienced it but I have heard that postal theft and corruption is very common in Italy, especially with international shipments. It may not be the boutique's fault.

I hope that Farfetch refunds your money quickly. I did not find their customer service very helpful when I ran into a problem. They kept promising me things and not following through. Do NOT close your PayPal case until you get your money back no matter what Farfetch tells you to do.

I added some pictures of how the box looked like. I sent all the pictures to customer service as well naturally but I agree uadjit - the customer service has not been too helpful. They stayed polite until I escalated the Paypal dispute to a claim. After I escalated the dispute to a claim I got a very nasty blocked phone call from them telling me that they will make sure to not accept my returned package, so there is no way I will receive my money back.
A paypal specialist is reviewing the case right now and I am praying they will rule in my favour... I don't see why they wouldn't - but I'm still nervous.

And it could be, that it's not the boutiques fault.. but at the end of the day I still haven't received what I payed for. It's just a really unfortunate how things ended up going.. I'm not pointing any fingers to anyone by any means, just warning others so that hopefully they won't experience the same thing.

I was so upset and panicked and sent the package back straight away, but when I called Paypal they told me I should have waited till after I opened the dispute. So maybe that's some advice for others, first open the dispute and claim, then send the package back.

First of all I want to send you a big hug :hugs: I know how frustrating it can be when something goes wrong during transit which seems to be the case here. And especially when such a large amount of $ is involved.

Italy is notorious for shipping issues......frequent postal strikes, custom issues, etc. Many sites don't ship to Italy(I have noticed it as an exclusion for many Ebay sellers too) but I have never had a problem ordering from Italy.

Just a couple of questions....did you have to sign for the package or was it left at your door? Who was the shipping company used? Is this a delivery person that you are familiar with....just asking because my UPS and FedEx guys normally notate comments without prompting regarding package condition but the DHL delivery guy is never the same person here.

I realize you may not have ordered from them before and wouldnt know they use the special tape to seal all edges of the package.

I'm just curious because Farfetch boutiques ship using the FF tape. If that seal has been broken, you are supposed have delivery person notate it on their end....or refuse delivery. The delivery guy should have noticed the duct tape on the package which should have been a huge flag to him something was off. I would ask him if he remembers that package.

Was there any indication it was opened or damaged during customs? Was it cleared by a 3rd party company?

I can't believe the boutique is acting so unprofessional but they could have honestly sent out the correct item and the switch happened during the shipping time. They should have insured the package so it should be covered.

Sending positive thoughts your way regarding PP......hopefully, they will refund you and it will just be over!

Aah thanks so much for your sweet words! It means a lot to me! :hbeat:
I had no idea that Italy was so notorious for shipping issues - since you guys mentioned it here I researched it a bit and was completely baffled.

I indeed had to sign for the package when it arrived. I saw the box was in incredibly bad condition, but was hoping it was just the outside. It happens sometimes that a package comes a bit beat up. The shipping company that was used was DHL and I chose the "express" option. I was not familiar with the delivery person and indeed I have the impression that it's usually always a different person.

Indeed this was my first FF order and and I had no idea about the tape. I don't understand that they haven't noted how damaged the package was. Should I also start an investigation at DHL? Since FF themselves haven't said anything about it. I mean shouldn't the package be insured? and no indication that it was opened during customs or opened at all by a third party since it was shipped in Europe (Italy to The Netherlands) there is no customs since the borders are "open".

Thanks so much for your input! I hope this is over soon! It's so stressful.

P.S I am in love with your profile picture! <3 haha

UPDATE

I just got off the phone with DHL and started an investigation. They made an exception to open the investigation for me, since the sender is the one who should start the investigation. I was quite shocked to hear that they hadn't started it yet, if they were innocent wouldn't you contact the courier company first thing?
DHL informed me that the packaged was NOT insured and there wasn't much that they could do - except check if maybe something has gone wrong in transit.. so I have very minimum expectation from them.
Hope next time I'll post with some good news :(

Wait- was it the boutique or Farfetch that said they wouldn't accept your return? That's bad news. Sending an item back without authorization can void your PayPal buyer protection. Did you happen to back your payment with a credit card? It's kind of stupid that you would have to return a box of junk but it would be good to have the package in your hand for the purpose of evidence in a claim.
