I hope your issue gets solved quick! I guess the many boutiques and the fact farfetch is the intermediate is what causes the hiccups ? But yeah not so good!
On a much better note it's FREE shipping right now so I might go for something. Will update if I do!!

Thank you. I got an update today but only because I called and happened to get the same rep I spoke to yesterday. He said he sent me an email this morning but if he did I didn't get it.

Anyway, supposedly they have located the item and I should be getting a shipping notice from DHL tomorrow morning and Vitkac is supposed to issue me a 10% credit for the trouble. I am still a bit skeptical since I have none of this in writing and they've told me all kinds of things up until now. I'll believe it when I have my bracelet! :pullhair:

Well, after my great first experience my second order with farfetch is a mess. I ordered an Alexander McQueen bracelet from them on 9/23 and got a notice from the boutique (Vitkac) the next day that they were preparing my order. The status was the same at the end of that same week so I called farfetch CS. The girl told me that a tracking number had been assigned and I should be getting a shipment notice that day.

The next day there was still no change so I called back. The CS rep took a closer look at the shipping and noticed that the tracking number assigned was going to Sri Lanka (I'm in the US). He said he had cancelled that tracking number and contacted the boutique and everything should be cleared up.

Fast forward to the next week. Still no change. I called CS on Monday and the rep said they had to contact a courier specialist (?) and then he'd call me back. No call. Yesterday, I called again and was promised an email update by the end of the day. No update! It has been two weeks now and noone I have talked to has fixed the problem or followed through on contacting me when they said they would.

I paid in full via PayPal so they have my money already. If I keep getting the run-around from their CS I'm going to have to open a dispute. Not good for only my second order. :(
I do like some boutiques associated with Farfetch, but Vitkac, Smets (I wrote about my horrible experience with them) and Please Don't Tell are on my 'never buy from' list.

The two FF boutiques I've had problems with are Vitkac and Smets...
It's too bad because I always see things I want on Farfetch and so much is from Smets... but I just don't trust them anymore.

Maybe if I got a small credit or just an apology, I would reconsider, but I didn't get anything, so I feel it's best to stay away.

Both Smets and Vitkac have a lot of things I like and at good prices. Tempting. I recently shopped at Smets again and had to return because the shoes didn't fit. No problem with the refund. Packaging though was careless to say the least.
I'm sure if we had the chance to shop in these particular stores in real life we'd understand why their service is so "patchy".

Just to counter the recent negative reviews, has anyone else shopped at FF boutique Dolci Trame?
I've bought a few things from there, and everything has been perfect and purchases arrive all packaged up with a beautiful potpourri and ribbon twine.
It's one of the nicest online stores I've ever come across :)

My first order was with SMETS and it was very smooth and packaged very well, too. I did order multiple items from them, though. I wonder if that made a difference.

I won't be ordering from Vitkac again. The only reason I ordered from them in the first place was that I couldn't find this particular bracelet anywhere else. Of course, since I ordered it has become available at Matches. I am kicking myself so hard! :cursing:

Just an update. I finally received my bracelet today and it is gorgeous BUT Vitkac never issued me a credit as promised and much worse, the $400 bracelet was just rattling around in the Farfetch box when it arrived. The McQueen dustbag and a little padded bag were in a jewelry box but they hadn't closed the box in any way (rubber band, tape, anything) and there was no other wrapping in there so it had just come open. Luckily, none of the skulls' eye rhinestones popped out or anything but I'm pretty irritated that they didn't take any care in packaging especially after how badly they'd bungled my order! I am definitely never ordering from Vitkac again even if they have something I really want!

Sorry to hear about the poor packaging and no credit. Not good enough
VITKAC is to be avoided. I Just ignore their stock on farfetch now.

Do all items on Far Fetch tend to be over priced? Or does it vary by boutique?

There was a Helmut Lang jacket I was looking at that was $100+ more than retail.

It depends on the individual boutique as well as the location of the boutique and the designer label you're looking at.
I've been looking at Golden Goose sneakers on Farfetch and the price for the same style, same colour was almost $200 more in the US Farfetch boutiques than in the european ones.
And Helmut Lang is usually cheaper in the US than in europe.

Thanks for the info!!

I did recently purchased something from farfetch and thoroughly regret what I bought, I opened the box, five minutes later packed it all up and had it picked up for return that same day! I am sure the fault is with the shop. The item was an Armani Perforated Bag and it came to me in a used condition. the piping was black , the white flap was black and a big noticeable scratch on the bottom of the bag..The return was hassle free though.....

They still haven't issued me the credit they promised. The CS rep said he "has to hear back from the boutique" in order to do that. Well, it was Farfetch that took my money, not the boutique. And it's been 2 weeks since that credit was promised.

It really concerns me that their CS is beholden to the whim of the boutique which, in my case, anyway (Vitkac) seemed to have a pretty poor attitude.
