Anyone ever purchase at farfetch.com?

I've never ordered from farfetch. Everything just seems a little bit... iffy? Like the items often won't look quite right, they'll be slightly strange things that aren't available at any of the major department stores or e-tailers. Almost as though they sell the items that no other store wants. Does anyone else know what I'm talking about, or am I just imagining things?

It's not one store it's a service that lists inventory from a bunch of boutiques in the US and Europe. This gives you an advantage in finding rather scarce items.

Nothing wrong with Farfetch from my experiences......and nothing off or iffy:cool:

I hate to see companies not given a chance for no valid reason. Granted that Farfetch may not be for you but they are by no means less than fabulous from which to purchase.current, high end luxury items.

You should give them a chance:flowers:

I bought hard to find, sold at at US retailers or limited edition items from smaller boutiques that I would normally have no access to......and the exchange rate can make these items below US retail sometimes too!

Once you are on Farfetchs mailing list, they send out free worldwide shipping codes:graucho:

I bought from Farfetch Greece boutique last week. The item did not fit and it was collected by DHL the same day. Received a prompt refund. All transaction took less than a week. I am in Dubai, BTW.
Highly recommend them and will definitely buy again.

Thinking about purchasing a jacket from far fetch. I am in the us and the jacket will ship from Italy. It says that all duties are included if it ships to the us. Has anyone ever had to pay extra to Dhl or customs?

I have a horrible experience with farfetch and definetly not recommend. I purchased a purse from someone located in Italy. They sent the wrong color and denied this when I contacted them. They sent a Chloe Marcie in nut, when the one in the picture was in Brown Sugar. They claimed that the color in the picture didn't matter. But it certainly didn't say color nut in the description. I returned it the day after I received it, they received it back two days after and I still haven't received the refund. To be honest, I'm extremely upset by the lack of decency and lack of even a hint of respect for the customer and service. I ordered the purse from net a porter instead and had a perfect experience as usual.

What vendor did u order from?

Thanks for your responses uadjit and authenticplease. I'm used to the streamlined sites of Matches and Net-a-Porter so I guess Farfetch, with its multiple businesses, seemed just a little jumbled by comparison. I might give it a shot next time I find something interesting on there :smile1:

Well, after my great first experience my second order with farfetch is a mess. I ordered an Alexander McQueen bracelet from them on 9/23 and got a notice from the boutique (Vitkac) the next day that they were preparing my order. The status was the same at the end of that same week so I called farfetch CS. The girl told me that a tracking number had been assigned and I should be getting a shipment notice that day.

The next day there was still no change so I called back. The CS rep took a closer look at the shipping and noticed that the tracking number assigned was going to Sri Lanka (I'm in the US). He said he had cancelled that tracking number and contacted the boutique and everything should be cleared up.

Fast forward to the next week. Still no change. I called CS on Monday and the rep said they had to contact a courier specialist (?) and then he'd call me back. No call. Yesterday, I called again and was promised an email update by the end of the day. No update! It has been two weeks now and noone I have talked to has fixed the problem or followed through on contacting me when they said they would.

I paid in full via PayPal so they have my money already. If I keep getting the run-around from their CS I'm going to have to open a dispute. Not good for only my second order. :(

I hope your issue gets solved quick! I guess the many boutiques and the fact farfetch is the intermediate is what causes the hiccups ? But yeah not so good!
On a much better note it's FREE shipping right now so I might go for something. Will update if I do!!

I really like farfetch and I've been using them regularly since they started up with only minor issues at a couple of the stores that were easily resolved at the time. Refunds have been prompt.
One of the stores I had a problem with was VITKAC in Poland. I won't bother buying from them again.
