I reaaaallly want a red handbag, and I have been contemplating buying the Valentino Histoire, but I have had a devil of a time finding it.

I saw this Loro Piana at Neiman-Marcus, but my best friend and I thought that the white contrast stitching made it look too much like a Dooney & Burke handbag. That said, I think Loro Piana is stunning, just not in red. The cognac, however is sublime. The Valentino it is.

I'm not a fan of the regular Globe, but I love this! And there are many, many more LP bags out there that are lovely. The materials used are very Hermes-like. Lovely!

Oh, I love the shape and the simplicity...thanks for sharing! I saw there was a thread about Angelina wearing a caramel-coloured Bellevue if I remember right...was there someone else I missed?

Btw, it's so nice to have someone to discuss lesser-known brands/styles with, sharing a taste for the same details and features in a bag is truly lovely.
I'm currently living in Milan, the italian fashion mecca, and it's still very hard to find someone who can relate to my passion for a certain kind of goods and handbags in particular..so thank you,as simple as that :)

I agree with Roe - its a bag that you buy to have for a lifetime. The style is timeless and that is why it may not look as trendy as some of today's most popular designs.

My newest lp addition - sorry for the pic - I took it with my phone...It's a large Loro Piana made from leather and canvas. I love the big size and think it's a fantastic summer bag!

Here is what I mean about the blue details....Again - sorry about the quality of the pics, they were both taken yesterday as soon as I got it (they were to show my sister - another bag addict) - will try to get some better ones now that the bag is home....

Hey guys! I just got a Loro Piana globe weekend bag and I REALLY like it... but I'm torn on whether or not I should keep it since I'm a little concerned about whether or not it's durable enough to be a real travel bag. Do any of you have experience with the weekend globe bag?

Thanks!

Depends on what leather it is? I have one that's Fjord and it's very durable.....I knock it around and it still looks new - just a little softer than when I first got it.....
