I went to the LP boutique today just to check out the Globe bag in person... I think I may have found my holy grail! 
Around this time last year, there was discussion in this thread regarding a sale in NYC. Does a similar sale occur anywhere in the LA/OC area, and if so, when? I need some shawls/stoles and I'm always looking for a great deal.
How do you like your Bellevue? The Bellevue reminds me of the Hermes Garden Party bag but somewhat smaller with many compartments and a longer strap. It also reminds me of the Chanel accordion. It looks quite beautiful in person and very functional with the same Hermes quality and leather. I believe it was about $4,000.
I like it very much. It is very practical and it is a real all time bag.
It can be used as a tote as well as a shoulderbag.
Yesterday I got my new globe bag (large) in saffron yellow fjord leather.
They call it Odessa. It was a real hunt as there was only one bag left. They don't have so many bags in large.
I am afraid the pictures do no show the colour exactly resp. I am a lousy
photographer. It is somewhat darker and more intense.
I also add a photo with my small collection.
(Genevieve etoupe, Bellevue ciel, globe safforn yellow)

what a lovely collection! All the colors are soft and pretty. would you say the globe is heavier than the genevieve and bellevue?

I prefer rainbow colours for the small leather goods (like all the small nice Hermès beauties)
No, in fact the globe is slightly lighter then the bellevue.
(I checked with my kitchen scales, there are betwwen 1.6 and 1.3 kg
)The Globe is less bulky than the bellevue, allthough it is bigger sizewise.

:I'm confused about Fjord and Odessa. I was informed that they recently started using Odessa leather instead of Fjord on some of their bags because it is lighter in weight than Fjord and just as durable?
Okay, just to let anyone that is interested - Odessa is the leather that is now used on LP bags. It is lighter than Fjord but just as durable. It retains it's shape but is soft like clemence.
I just visited LP today and saw a bag that knocked my socks off!! It looked like the Genevieve but shoulder style with flat straps and in Eel skin! It's total love!! I have to have it! Just way out of my price range right now so I'm going to have to save up for it! I no longer want the Hermes Massai after seeing this beauty!!!! Gorgeous, classic, & light as a feather!
