They make very fine bags. I have one called a Double Pocket bag which is essentially a tote with a zipper. Raisin fjord. This is the only other company that I know of, besides Hermes, that calls a leather fjord. i haven't see this style in a long time which is too bad as it is really nice.

IMO Loro Piana is one of the few companies that has retained its excellent service and quality! While mostly everything is being made abroad for a nominal amount of money, LP keeps up their standards! I say bravo to them!

Bump to this thread....would love to hear more about other people's experience with these bags! I have been using my fjord Globe every day for a few years now. I love how easy it is to get in and out of, and the outside pocket on the back is handy for things I need easy access to, but also want to securely zip in. Bag is starting to show wear around the bottom corners. Too bad they don't offer a spa treatment for their bags. As the price point is nearing that of Hermes I think a repair service is something they should start to consider.
A little off subject, but has anyone purchased a pair of their new sunglasses? They are expensive, but I like no visible logos. It also seems that the quality will be amazing. I have purchased Cartier sunglasses recently and was not thrilled with them. I also try to avoid all sunglasses made by luxottica....So Loro Piana might be the answer?

I'm buying a Dee 3 in black and thought some of you might like to see some piccies.

I'm a wee bit puzzled as to why there aren't more posts about LP on the forum. LP is unquestionably expensive, although their bags aren't that bad in comparison to some for the quality and timeless design.

The website is great, but be warned it makes it too easy to spend hideous amounts of money...
how do you like the dee 3? is the leather delicate?
thanks for your help-

I agree, I wish they offered a repair service/spa treatment. They only recommend places for repair.
Sorry, I am not familiar with LP's sunglasses but all of their merchandise appears to be top quality. Good luck to you!

No, I have not used the recommended places yet. I had inquired about whether they offered a repair service upon purchasing the Bellevue bag. I was informed that they do not but recommend places and that a customer's globe needed lots of help and afterwards looked fabulous, like new. I recently purchased a preloved globe and I am going to try to restore it myself with docride's recommendations.

Thank you but doc stated the thread was only for Hermes items. Oh well, I suppose I could research how to restore fjord. The handles have darkened. Or I can find out which restoration place LP recommends. I think I will go with the latter. I will call LP to find out which places they recommend. I will post these places but I am in NY, so,they will most likely be in NYC.
The Bellevue is a great bag and kept me organized but I love the GP too.

i am in ny as well so i would be interested after you have your bag "spa'ed".
glad you like the bellevue-

the e-shop currently only allows for shipment to europe -- i've been informed that this is likely to change and shipment will be available to the usa in the summer. one could visit their nearest boutique, however, and request to have their purchases mailed to them. although the bags look lovely, i'm hesitant to spend this type of money towards products for which after-sales servicing repairs are lacking. on another note, bags that are incredibly well-made should last a long-time without the need for a repair (yes, that's my attempt to justify a possible purchase!)...

Got a pair of the sunglasses and it's love. The lenses are amazing quality, better than my Cartier.
Now considering a Bellevue bag to break my Globe obsession.
I think they might have a spa type thing starting in Europe. I know they do special order bags, so this must mean they could do repairs if they wanted to.
