Hi everyone, I am hopping over from the Hermes boards, as that is my usual hangout. I was just poking around here because for the first time in many, many years, I actually went outside of Hermes when I walked by the most gorgeous, simple handbag in the Venice airport last week. I didn't even know what Loro Piana was, I just loved the lines of their bags. It was a white bag in the window that caught my attention, but a lovely brown one in the store that I had the sales associate take down and show me - and I bought it in the next 10 minutes!

It looks to be a Bellevue in baltic brown from the website. I really love it! Handles are large enough to make it a shoulder bag or hand-held, color is rich chocolate, leather is very lovely. I'm very thrilled about it! :D

congratulations on the lp. they really are beautiful well made bags. enjoy and post pictures if you have time.

There seems to be quite a selection of Loro Piana bags on *bay. I spotted one with backward R on the hardware. Could anyone comment on the existence of fakes of this discreet, albeit expensive, brand? :wondering

Could you please post or pm me the bag in question? I have yet to see a fake LP in person.....I assumed they were remaining immune to the phenomenon because LP is under the radar. When looking for Loro Piana on ebay I suggest selecting "highest price first" on search options. Also be careful about whether the bag is used or not. I see many bags that are used and you really have to scour the listings to find it in writing:) BTW - it would be great if you could post pics of your bag on this thread....I got a glimpse of them on another thread and now I cant find them....Looks unique and beautiful!

Hi luxwear. I've PMed you.

LP lovers, per request of luxwear, here are pictures of my beloved bag that has recently been turned into a controversial thread in the Hermes section. I don't want to post too many, as the mods have deleted them. SA has informed me that the Travel Globe is available in a grey-ish color, but that model is lacking a lock/key and the back exterior pocket, plus it also appears to be large enough as a carry-on and not an everyday bag. Is anyone else familiar with the availability of this model? Thanks. :smile1:

Annie, I have never been pick pocketed from my Globes, I wear them over my shoulder and hold on pretty tight....Just the fact that it's slightly open makes me nervous. Once my mother was holding a large Globe by the handles and someone came up to her and covered the bag with a map to block her vision.....my husband scared him off. It was my mother's mistake for how she was holding the bag, but it was still scary and disarming.

wow, that must have been scary. thanks for the tip.

Belletarts - I read the thread and was surprised at some of the comments. I think your LP is really gorgeous and you are wise to keep. I just looked at ebay and saw a chocolate brown tab closure that is tempting me. I love that Bayswater style, but this one has a perfect interior. Soooooooo tempted.;)

Hi LP fans. I just wanted to share a pic I posted in the Scarf of the Day thread in the Hermès forum. I didn't know LP made cashmere bags until I made this purchase earlier this spring. This is the My Handy Bag. The cashmere is treated to repel stains, and although it is of heavier weight, it still feels just as soft and luxurious as their cashmere stoles. The SA even gave me a few cedar spheres to help when storing. This is one of my favorite bags!
