Any brand you are falling out of love with? If so, why?

Gucci- simply because the quality of its leather isn't amazing, the service they provide compared to any high end brand isn't compatible with the price of their bags and they seem to have fallen off the creativity wagon. Just sayin' :)

I would probably have to say Coach, I had my first coach bag when I was 14 and right now the styles are not catching my eye, I then I started carrying Dooney and Bourkes then it was on to Fendi now I have a LV bag which I love, where I live now I have not seen too many knockoffs being sold but where I used to live in NY the knockoffs were plentiful! So I never really cared to get one at that time.

Most of them are turning me off these days. No one seems to be coming out with any designs that make me swoon. And some of the ones that do, I can't afford! And maybe it's due to hitting 40 this year, but I'm wanting more practical bags. I have back problems and can't lug a heavy bag anymore. I've pared down as much as I can and still can't get by on a tiny bag-- tiny bags look silly on me since I'm 5'9" and come from a long line of well-set Scottish women!

Nothing in Macy's thrills me. The Kate Spades are not practical for my needs and some of the higher-end designers are just overpriced. I love a label/name as much as anyone but I feel like a chump paying $500 for a bag that likely cost maybe $150 to make, y'know? I hate so many luxe brands are outsourcing to China-- how can they maintain their previous quality? I'd be OK with paying a lot for quality if I knew I was getting what I paid for, and nowadays I don't think I am as much.

That said, I just ordered a Longchamp le Pliage tote (did not pay full price) and hope it'll fit the bill for now. It's so hard to find that balance of quality, affordability and looks.

Yes, I am feeling this same way too. I'm sort of disillusioned by the whole thing lately. So few of the premium brands are even bothering to pretend about customer satisfaction, not to mention quality of materials or craftsmanship. They ship everything off to China to manufacture then they actually charge MORE for their bags. Way more!! It's kind of disgusting. I can't see it as anything but greed and general disrespect for their customers and their brand.

Anytime I even think about paying more than $500 for a bag I feel like a sucker. I just can't do it. I've been purchasing more vintage bags.

I do have the Pliage and I do love it. That's a good choice. Just see if you can get one of the ones that's still made in France!

Louis Vuitton... I used to love them, but everyone seems to own a fake/authentic speedy or n.f nowadays... i was planning to buy a speedy, but i got turned off as i saw many people carry the same fake version of it and have no idea about designers... and the monogram printed all over the leather just pisses me off ...

Where do I begin? Fell out of love with Coach years ago, and although their designs have improved lately, I kind of feel like been-there, done-that. Used to love love love Longchamp leather, but none of the designs have excited me lately, plus I feel like the quality of the leather isnt what it was even five years ago. (Declining quality seems to be a common theme on this thread!) Chanel is a whole 'nother story. I will keep and love the few that I have, but the exponential price increases have become a total turn-off.

Coach. Because their bags seem to appeal more to older women now (their Legacy collection is one example). But mostly because they seem to be going downhill now. Alot of Coachies were complaining of ordering a bag through phone/online and receiving crushed boxes, new bags without proper wrapping, or a clearly used bag. After that I decide to move on to other brands now. What a shame.

Coach and LV. Coach has put me off with their "punishment" marketing - I don't get invited to the online sales anymore nor to the Preferred Customer Events apparently because I bought too much/too frequently...go figure. LV simply hasn't come out with anything lately that I felt I "had to have". I used to wait on the edge of my seat for LV new releases, name on waiting list and all...not doing it for me in the last year or so. I've now fallen for Chloe, Fendi, and Gucci and really diversified my collection.
