Coach, definitely. I used to love Coach and I still like how they photograph their styles in their ads but whenever I have a Coach bag in front of me I'm completely underwhelmed. Plus, the CCCCCCCCCCCCCCCC look really isn't my thing anymore.

I wouldn't buy a new Coach, except for a vintage Coach Willis.

I read somewhere ... maybe in this thread ... about how bad the Coach outlet stores were. I visited one in Houston this weekend and every signature Coach was on sale for 50% off, then some other % off after that. The store was hot and smelled like bad body odor. The place was packed. People were grabbing anything and everything with a logo on it. There had to be at least 100 people in line to pay. This one poor girl was trying on shoes and was trampled by 5-6 people. I just walked out.

The price point for at least 95% of the purses in the store was under $50. Now I get why so many people I see around me are wearing Coach -- signature Coach specifically.

I had a similar experience in a Coach outlet in San Marcos a few years ago back in their heyday. The place was crazy like a nightclub and I thought people were going to start fighting over the purses. It was so over the top. That experience really turned me off of them for good.

LV, i used to own 20plus, now it's down to 15 i guess, some i sold, some i gave it away to my nieces. I don't really have a specific reason for not wanting them now, maybe i just got tired of the look, i was into chanel couple of years back, and now into H, got 2 H only so far

Another vote for Coach. I DESPISE it! Just not into their recent marketing strategy by mass manufacturing lines specifically for outlet stores that closely resemble the ones sold at their regular stores. It's like buying knock-offs or something. Moreover new launches get marked down in a few weeks. They are way too common. Even the ghetto people of Walmart are sporting Coach with their scantily clad Spongebob pajamas. The other day we were driving through a town in TX and stopped by Walmart to grab a bag of chips for the ride. There was this woman dressed like a hooker in front of me paying with food stamps and she had a Coach bag. I don't see the point in patronizing an elite brand of bags that doesn't attempt to fix its image.

I used to love Coach a long way back when bags were made in US. I have nothing against them made in China or Sri Lanka but it does seem now Coach doesn't put emphasis on QA much. I remember my leather bags lasted me years of regular use, now I just don't see that kind of workmanship anymore.

Over the years I have fallen out of love with LV, MiuMiu, and Balenciaga. It's not an outright hate; rather, I just found another designer/brand that resonated with me more.

But do add me to the Coach loathing list. It is tragic what the company did to its brand. It used to be the Volvo of bags--simple, sturdy, incredibly well made, and highly functional. And now, eeesh.

It seems every where I look there is a Coach bag. I really want to find a purse that is great but doesn't advertise its name by the look or a big name plate on it like so many do now. Any suggestions of a purse with great quality and look but nobody can tell what it is? I think it is nice to be mysterious sometimes. :)

Bree? Jimmy Choo?

There is one thing I do not get.

If I fall out of love with a bag, it is because I am over the style. That is a me thing. Most of what I read people no longer loving your bag because you see other people with them?

So forgive me.. I just do not understand that. If you love a bag, then you should love it right? What does it matter if other people have it? Why would that make you not like your bag anymore? If I paid good money for it and I love it... then I love it. Seeing someone else with it would only make me think that other people love the same style too.

If you love it, then wear it and rock it out like it belongs to you! (because it does) :-)

I'd think what most people are saying is if they are paying a premium for a bag they want others to pay a premium too. That would mean fewer people are able to afford it. You see besides exceptional quality and gorgeous styling, the other reason why people choose to patronize certain brands is because of image. So paying a high premium would either mean you dressed designer or are wealthy or both. The last thing you want to see is everybody carrying that brand. It makes you feel cheated paying the extra $1000 you could have bought 3-4 generic leather bags instead.

Ahhh... ok. I understand that point of view.. :smile1: Thank you! Makes a bit more sense to me now..

Also, if you see it everywhere it just becomes over-saturation. It's like hearing the same song all the time on the radio. Even if you like the song, you just get sick of hearing it all the time. It's like, "enough already!"

Though I still do love the vintage leather Coach. But I am o-v-e-r the signature bags. They are everywhere!!

I have never liked the signature Coach. Cheesy, tacky, trying-to-hard to be LV

Made a return to Coach after many years. I always kept my older bags which were superior.

Pretty much over the love affair with LV. And that was because I am in a different place now in my life. And two, they are not worth the asking price. Materials made in China..
Canvas is of lower quaity. I am talking about basic satchels in mono. Sold some of mine and generated a lot of cash.

I am falling out of LVoe with my Vuitton's....so many reasons, but mostly it comes down to the QA vs. the price, and there are SO MANY counterfeits where I live - it's pretty much assumed everyone has a fake. It's kinda disgusting.

I still like my old coach leather bags though...they rock! The quality is excellent!
