I've been looking at Chanel bags as a special birthday treat to myself, but have been disappointed. I'm not so much falling out of love with the brand, but more like realising it's just not a brand suited to my lifestyle. The only Chanel bags I generally admire are the ones that are more like works of art to be displayed rather than a practical bag to carry when I go for a day's shopping or even a night out. I find many of their classic bags uninteresting and too common.

I was going to make a very similar post! I love Chanels for their versatility, a black flap would go with anything, but at the same time I want something I can beat around. I don't feel bad about throwing around my LV canvas bags, even though they are expensive, because I know they can take it. And they also go with everything.
I also feel like a Chanel is on a level that I'm not on yet, if that makes sense. I'm young and I have just started to be successful in my life and career, I feel like I should hold off on Chanel (and probably Hermes) until I am very successful and paying for the bag isn't going to be such a big deal. If that makes sense!

Totally agree with the Chanel price increases...along with poor quality on the newer bags. I have a couple of older Chanel bags that have 24K gold plated hardware and leather lining and they still look beautiful...unlike the patent Boy I bought last year and returned when it started peeling after about a month!

Im falling out of love with any designer bag bought and sold ( at a loss sometimes ) trying to find the perfect for a lifestyle I don't have ,as soon as I have bought a new bag I'm on the look out for the next one ,so that's it for me I'm buying a nice black tote bag ,a black Rochas or iris and ink from the outnet ,and a new longchamp ,then that's me .. I'm driving myself crazy with it . :)

Loved LV but sold all of it just have a cles and mini pouchette left. Not into any of the following:
Michael kors everyone and their mum has one!

Rebecca minkoff will be selling the 2 i have

Miu miu way to girly for me

Gucci never appealed to me

Hermes expensive but all look like luggage nothing 'classy' for me sorry i know i sound snobby promise im not!!

Pretty much all im now into is chanel, ysl, givenchy and prada but prada just for the mini promenade!
