BALENCIAGA!! Yes, balenciaga!!!
same motorcycle design over and over got me bored!! plus the leather are sooo delicate that 90% of my bbags was "sitting" in the closet FOR VIEW ONLY

Definitely coach and dooney bourke. When I first started adoring luxury goods, I always thought that was my price range. However, a couple weeks ago I bought a balenciaga and now it's like coach and dooney is nothing.

LV. I used to LOVVEE LV when I got into expensive designer bags. And while they'll always be classic .. it's like ugh. I'm starting to get into brands that have more funky designs, such as Marc Jacobs.

This is a fascinating thread...now I know where some of the folks that I used to see in the RM and BE subforums are now! :lawl:

(And now they know where I am).

It's great to see you all, regardless. :smile1:

I am now officially out of love with Belen Echandia, even though I still have two bags from the line (a Love Me that was my first BE purchase and that I won't sell at all, and a Love Me Midi that I adore). I also have one bespoke bag from waaaay back still coming to me but frankly I am not excited to receive it. I will most likely sell it at a significant loss or gift it at this point. Kind of sad. But this doesn't necessarily mean that I won't come back to BE, it just seems kind of blah for me at the moment, though I would still love to own a set of leather BE bedsheets. (That smell....:tender:)

Like I posted some time ago, I fell back in love with RM after a hiatus. I absolutely loved her pre-fall/fall lines this year, and in particular like some of the newer styles along with some of the classics.

After an extended fling and 4-5 bags, I am out of love with Balenciaga anything, even though I still dig the moto look, and particularly the Day. The QC on the Agneau bags that I had was shockingly non-existent, although I would take a Rouille 06 Day anytime!!!

Hi Lo! It's SO nice to see you again.

Although I still do have a couple BE's that I'm still enjoying like yourself it's definetely not the same anymore on how I feel about the company. Most of the designs I find are very blah if not repetitive. And I haven't been a fan of the way BE has been treating their customer's lately with CS issues.

Loquita! Good to see you are still around!

Lovebags, I don't always agree with you but I'm starting to get a similar feeling about BE over the last few days. I haven't had any bad experiences but I'm watching the QC problems, and their solutions with interest.

As for the designs, there are 3 that I like but you are right, the new stuff is blah. The I'm Beautiful looks too much like the Charm Me and the Enchant Me just doesn't do it for me. I'm a hobo girl and I think it just looks boring.

LOL,

Glad to see you're staying objective. Things will just naturally happen with BE. I won't have to say a word about my own opinion. I did exactly what you did "before" I made my final conclusions and watched how they treat other's. You can tell alot what a company represents by doing just that. I was a little ahead of pace but it seems that everyone is getting caught up these days!

Definitely agreeing with you ladies Coach for sure :(, i just dont feel like buying it anymore and like crazyboutcoach id rather save a little more for something more splurgier....thats not a word, but you know what i mean :D

^ ITA with you there Cindy, (my sisters name is Cindy too)! The leather Coach bags that I do like, are way too pricey for there sizes & the ones that are of good size are too expensive when for that kind of money I can just put a couple hundred more (more or less) & buy a Gucci or LV or something that I would really feel more luxe with. I love your new word, "splurgier"!

I'm falling out of love with Coach and L.A.M.B.

I'm in the process of selling the bags and accessories that I don't use anymore (I am keeping a few favorite pieces) so I can fund my current obsessions like Balenciaga and LV. I'm kind of going the route of quality vs quantity. Sure, I could have 3 nice Coach bags for the price of one LV, but I figure I'll get more use out of the LV. At least that's the way I've been going lately.

I can't say I'm falling out of love with a particular brand...
It's just that right now I'm in the mood "less is more": I'd like a small collection of bags (well, it is already small, I would say!) durable and perfect for any occasion.
I still love my Balenciagas, but would love a staple black city (selling something else). Also I think that a small Chanel flap would last a lifetime and would be very useful for formal occasions. I'll keep my hermes massai and my medium Veneta.
It's also the recession and the fact that I'm going to change my job (when I'll find another good one).

The first two threads I looked at on the PF were Proenza Schouler (my new love) and Jérôme Dreyfuss (my ex-love).
I had a passionate love affair with Jérôme, well with his men: it started when I bought Billy two years ago. Black, goat leather: Billy was rock n'roll, I loved him so much.
Then I met Robert, green, lamb leather. At the beginning, everything was fine, so fine I actually invite two other friends in my house: Serge and Antoine.
Then Robert started falling apart (lining fell apart, a handle broke). Serge's handles got stretched as well. I contacted Jérôme's customer service: they told me they couldn't do anything, the bags were too old (two years...).
I am disappointed. Jérôme Dreyfuss started off with original designs, his leather is often great, but the growth of the brand was probably unexpected, and the quality is not up to a par with what I expect from him... I still love Billy, though.

I used to really love Anya Hindmarch back in the 90s - they used to have impeccable finishing and really interesting classic designs with a quirky twists. I remember being totally obsessed with their leather pouches with actual stamps and embossed return addresses! However, the last couple of seasons have been really somewhat lacking in terms of design (not really into the retro look). While the Target partnership was interesting, I didn't really like the fact that many designs were look-a-likes of the original line but with really really bad finishing. This diluted the "impeccable finishing" feel and somewhat the branding for me. I probably will not be making another large purchase at Anya Hindmarch for a while. I think my last purchase was the plaited Gene bag in '07/'08.

I also used to really really love Kate Spade in the 90s, but somehow along the way, the brand positioning has changed somewhat. Don't really feel the personality of Kate Spade coming through the new designs.

I had an obsession with Chanel bags for the last couple of months, but thankfully, this is starting to look like an infatuation and not a long term love affair! I bought 11 Chanel bags in the last year, but have rapidly fallen out of love as they really aren't the best quality bags. Out of the 11 bags, perhaps 5 of them had some manufacturing issues such as leather strips unravelling and stitches coming undone. Sighs. For such expensive bags, I would have expected much better quality! But they sure are pretty bags!

Im out of Love with Coach-although I have not bought one in 4 years, and I only have 2 and a Wallet, I'm over it. Can't bring myself to get anything with logos anymore.

I am in LOVE with Balenciaga though & Chanel, but since I'm a student, I will be in love from afar!
