Well said!!
I must admit I am a junkie for those "stuff containers" and feel no need to look down on any one brand. NONE of them come out with a GEM every season.
Love or hate the bag, not the person. And keep negative opinions to self!

There's also snobbery on Coach against Coach. I've seen plenty of posts where Siggy and Factory bags are put down too.
I agree. Signature is the most of what I own now and I love them, they are great casual bags. I was never a fan of MFF before but the look and quality have been getting better and better. I love the Ocelot line from my last visit. To me, it doesn't matter if it's FP or MFF as long as it's pretty and good quality. Coach stands behind MFF just as they do FP.

amen!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yep there're small groups of snobs that hangs out together in certain Coach threads and would not hesitate to gang-attack fellow Coachies, then hide behind the statement, "This is a public forum so be prepared for different opinions." The statement itself is true, but was used a lot to justify flat-out rudeness and insensitivity.

Back to the subject of Anti-Coach Snobbery, I'm immune to it coz I know nothing about premium brands and certainly can't tell the fake from the authentic. If I do run into someone looking at me and my Coach bag weird, I would probably guess she is PMSing, as it would not occurred to me to check out what bag she's carrying.

Yeah, I kwym, some people act like MFF bags can give you the Clap or something...which I don't get, because isn't there a chance that both MFF and FP bags are made at the same place?
I really don't care what bag anybody carries, and I sure as hell won't look down on somebody for liking something I don't. Whether it be Premier, Coach, Target, etc, why does anybody care really. If it makes a person happy then have at it.

+1!
Live & let live... Carry & let carry ;)

i'm really glad op that you started this thread...I guess today, 9/11 I have a different perspective on a LOT of things...why people would spend time negating what others like is beyond me...these are BAGS people and even though they're beautiful and we love them and love talking about them, they are still, just bags...
when I started on tpf I had some lv and prada and coach and others, but, found myself getting caught up in all the hoopla of owning a "holy grail" bag, only to discover that for me, there aren't really any holy grail bags...I love a lot of them...as a matter of fact, I bought the saffiano e/w tote the other day and I have to say that if the name "COACH" wasn't on it? it looked EXACTLY like the LV saffiano leather bags, which I have to say I was able to purchase w/o the LV attitude..(and yes, I buy LV and get attitude when I go in which I don't understand...is getting attitude part of the premiere experience?)...
I think that you should buy what makes you happy and if people are stupid and insensitive enough to make a comment, let it just sit there...if you're quiet and just look at them? they may realize that they said something insulting and if they don't? who needs 'em?!

Very well said!

LOL, I buy and wear what I like. I have Coaches and VBs and LVs and Old Navy specials bags all trying to vy for space in my closet. My WalMart and Old Navy and CL shoes are in there too, along with my extensive collection of Target flats.

That's very sad - everywhere you go there's always going to be someone ready to put you down. If I wanted to carry balanciaga or LV I would - I choose Coach because I love Coach. Maybe I have brand loyalty. But I always found LV not at all my style. It bores me. To each their own. But crappy opinions that'll only hurt other people's feelings are unnecessary.

Hi everyone. I think there are many reasons for wanting/not wanting to buy Coach. About 15 yrs ago I dreamed of owning one and it's actually the first present my DH gave me and I really treasured that bag. I began buying other brands basically because I look at it as an investment and when I went to sell my bags I would get very little when reselling. Another issue was the bad experience I had with them honoring their warranty several times so I sold them all or gave them away.

I still have one really cool coach bag that I love and she shares a closet with YSL, Chanel, LV, Proenza, Fendi, Gucci, Chloe etc. Out of all the bags I have I would never buy Gucci again. There are several brands that I no longer like but don't look down at it, it's simply not my taste - ya know.

Enjoy your bags girls, spoil them and give them a fabulous life and let the coach haters hate...;)
