Anti-Coach snobs...ugh

Every brand has their share of ugly bags. I own both luxury and affordable brands and I personally just laugh at ugly bags in general (it doesn't matter whether it's an LV or a Coach bag). I won't tell u that you're carrying an ugly bag (that's just mean)...It's more of an "I laugh on the inside" kind of thing. :giggles:

I bought a Chanel & LV a few months ago -- both preloved & heavily discounted -- as a one-time thing, but my finances won't allow it anymore. Fine with me. Coach leather is outstanding for the price, especially vintage. If that's considered downgrading then :shrugs:

Now that just makes no sense. I have bags from Balenciaga, Celine, Chloe, Dior, Ferragamo, Lanvin, Prada, YSL, and fell hard for Coach just this year. If people can't recognize quality, and has to see (and then discriminate) the brand to decide what to think of it, then it's frankly their loss. I'll proudly carry the variety of the Coach bags I got, at a fraction of the price that they paid for theirs. Yay!

I think Coach to some extent has created this problem with all the cheap looking signature fabric outlet bags floating around. I am sure there are people who mistakenly believe that those bags are representative of Coach's product line.

Well most of those snobs are anti everything that isn't Hermes or Chanel. LV owners hear the same thing in regards to the bags being for wannabes, common, tacky and etc. Someone online said LV was the "McDonald's of luxury brands."

I think we should support everyone who carries authentic bags. When it comes to fakes :yucky: of any brand, I am a total snob and can't stand them.

The McDonalds of luxury brands? Ouch.
I'm with ya, as long as it's authentic, who cares? As handbag lovers, we should support each other, because anyone who isn't handbag obsessed just doesn't understand our need to spend money on pricey handbags & accessories ;)

Ugh. "Mc Donald's"? Really? So LV's are fattening and gross? Lol! There are so many different brands because people's taste is so varied. Carry what makes you happy and let others do the same is how we all should be. Could you imagine if we all dressed the same, carried the same bags, wore our hair the same. How bland would that get to be? As long as it isn't fake, who cares who carries what? :)

Couldn't have said it better myself. When I compare some of the really gaudy, fabric, factory stuff with the gorgeous leather designs from the full price store, I can't help but be annoyed. How can one brand come up with a beautiful line of Madison bags also put out crappy logo bags that bring down their level of craftsmanship a few notches? There has to be consistency and I think people would see them under a better light if they did away with the logo bags.

If I had a dollar for every person that looked at me in disbelief after admiring one of my coach leather bags and being told that it's from Coach, my wallet would definitely be a lil fatter :D

+1 - Some of the stuff at the outlet stores are just not up to par with the Coach brand and the fact that is accessible to a lot of people who carry them proudly almost makes the "snob" attitude occur.

I just don't get it when Coach stores and Coach outlets are pitted against each other where store SA's put down outlet bags and accessories. Yes, there are differences in quality but more often than not, Coach customers shop at both for different purposes. I tend to look for FP bags but for minor accessories like key rings, card holders, scarves and hats, travel totes I'm happy with MFF. And so if I'm wearing MFF, I don't want my retail store SA to brand me as a less worthy customer when I walk in the door.

I have multiple premiere designer bags such as Mulberry, Gucci, Tod's, Marc Jacobs and more. I also have Coach bags and I value them just as much as I do the designer bags. It's not about what you pay but it's about how you feel carrying the bag and your love and pride of a lovely leather product. My most recent Coach is my Borough which is a beautiful grey leather, and I bought my daughter her beautiful green Urbaine (sp?) and she is so proud of it. In addition, I have Coach wallets, jewelry, key chains, sadals and so on. Just as happy with my Coach as I am with my others. Anyone who would call someone a pretender and other foolish things is rude and needs to grow up and join the real world. Personally, I don't need a bag to build my self esteem or to put someone down.

Ladies, don't let someone like that spoil your joy of carrying your beautiful Coach bags. None of us are pretenders but we are ladies with good taste!! I am proud to buy a product from an American company.
