i went to neimans at KOP instead - HUGE difference in the handles. the handles on the one at neimans were completely sturdy/hard (like a LV Speedy) whereas the one I got from bluefly are... mushy, flimsy, SQUEAKY, etc.

the piping of the bag is also pretty squeaky which i thought to be weird/unnatural.

the overall leather quality of the bags were the same... but the handles really bothered me... felt like they'd been extremely broken in over years and years!

sadly this rocco will have to be returned... =( i'll be holding out til i find one at a great deal. it's not worth having, even at a discounted price, if it's a defective bag

p.s, did you ever end up getting your return credit from bluefly?? hoping this return process won't take forever...

Yup - it took 10 days after they received the item for them to "process" the return and issue a refund, and after that it took a couple of days for my bank to post it on my account (funny how they actually post the item on the website well before the return gets "processed"). So... Counting from the day I sent the item, it probably took about three weeks.

And yeah, the squeaky sound completely turned me off too! Hope you'll be able to find a better one... Maybe Shopbop/NAP will have some kind of promo codes soon. I'm dying to get my hands on the ivory Rocco!

Hey guys! My espresso rocco came in the mail today-- so excited!

I took some pics so that maybe some could get a better idea of what this color really looks like. The camera on my phone isn't that great so bear with me...

The color in person is like a very dark chocolate brown-- really beautiful-- but from far away it probably appears pretty similar to black.

I'm petite, so I'm really glad that the shoulder strap on this bag can get short!

I posted more pictures on my twitter, so you can follow me if you want to see more! @B_Awan

Looks great on you! I'd love to see this in person. :smile1:

AWholic this is kind of directed to you, i have had equally terrible luck with my AW rocco duffel. I have gone through 2 of them now, both from Neiman's. The first one i returned because i noticed the leather was developing really small perforations from light usage. I exchanged it for an identical bag that was even more breath taking, the quality of the 2nd one (bubbly-ness) was amazing. The threading connecting the handle to the purse has actually come UNDONE now after about a month and would probably break off if i continued to use it. I have to return this purse, again. I love it enough that i am willing to give it a 3rd try and just use only occasionally instead of an everyday bag, but i am definitely disappointed in the quality. $900 is not as expensive as some handbags can cost you but it almost makes me want to invest in yet another louis vuitton because those bags have never given me problems and I use them regularly. Is there still hope for AW Rocco's, am I just getting all the defected ones???

I'm so sorry to hear about your Rocco! The quality of Rocco def could be better for a $900 bag... For my black Rocco, the handles aren't sturdy enough and the leather on the piping is peeling off, even though I barely carried it around (like 5 times!). I'm not sure if I would have kept it if I didn't get a discount on it. Kinda sad because it is such a beautiful bag.

Hope the pebbling on your 3rd Rocco is as beautiful as your 2nd! Oh, and maybe putting a water/stain repellent and leather moisturizer on it would help the leather from getting damaged so fast. I read from this forum that LMB stuff is good.

My newest AW addition arrived yesterday. It's a re-purchase and I absolutely love her:hbeat: I'm really surprised because the last Mustard I owned had the thick pebbled leather and this has the smooshiest, softest pebbled leather of any Rocco I've owned.

Where did you manage to find one??? I'd love to get my hands on the mustard!
