Hi, I am a newbie (go easy on me!) and maybe everyone else is past this but going back the US magazine story from last week, does anyone else think that it wasn't actually a PR plant by either of them (or, I guess their shared rep)? I thought it made her look really desperate and sad, like she'd go to anyone who was handy for validation. she's dating a ridiculously gorgeous man, who a lot of people in HW seem to be welcoming into the industry (except for RS, his press is pretty good and no one seems to think he can't have a film career) and she (as far as anyone knows) blows it by making out with Biff McHedge Fund or whoever from high school? She looks like an idiot. I kind of wonder if this was "frenemy fire" - she came back from Svenska (maybe way early, maybe just few days early to see her parents and get her dog or something), hung out with the boyfriend, made out with him and then told one of her confidantes (who are nothing if not connected) and they either told the wrong person who leaked it or told the right person so they could leak it and make her look bad? None of her friends are anywhere near as attractive (there, I said it, I actually think she's really pretty when she isn't smirking) or as successful as she is (even in her current state) and they can't, most likely, land someone as cute as the guys she's dated and maybe someone is a little frustrated with her? Or jealous? Or just thinks he's a sweetheart and deserves not to get cheated on? And that person gossiped about it?

Anyone? Anyone? Am I on crack?

I think anything is possible. KB does not strike me as the type to inspire loyalty. Her reputation in HW is pretty bad.

To be honest, I always wonder about these rumors with her. It's like so odd and random. Why would they just randomly post this story. It's not like she cheated on him in LA....it's a specific location and person. Kind of like the Chris Martin thing. Is she so popular that these magazines just make up stories??? These stories are SO specific yet random. CM and Kate at a U2 concert in Vegas not LA at the Rose Bowl. How did that just come together unless it's for sure true. Same with this ex-boyfriend story. It took some time to come out but it did. Why would they just decide to tell such a story about her???

I have to admit I don't read US or People except at the salon when I get my hair done and that's only when I've got the spare cash so I'm not aware. Do they do this to other celebs?????


OR maybe since US had just posted that story about Alex and Kate the week before in the issue about Anna and Stephen's wedding that someone from home contacted them and mentioned her visit home before she left for Sweden???

Well, maybe it didn't take all that long to some out though, if she left Sweden sometime between Aug 18th and 23rd and stopped off at home on the way back (the article said August, not July and her rep didn't try to deny she was in MA in August and didn't actually say "she hasn't seen him in X weeks/months etc) for a couple of days and made out with the guy, was back in LA the end of that week and saw her friend that would totally line up with last week's press date.

That is why I believe so many of these rumors about her because they are so specific. If the story just said, KB cheated on AS with a guy, then I would brush it off. But the fact that details emerged about who, why, and where, what type of make-out session. That is just to specific for just a random rumor. Also, the rumor about the break-up was internet wide but it did not reach a print magazine. This one did. These stories come out of the blue but KB has not been a popular public figure for a while now. Then there is the fact that in the same week, two rumors were spread about her but her rep only responded to the one. It is very bizarre.

Hi So confusing - welcome to our wading pool. We often wonder the same things! Edgey, I am ashamed to admit that my significant amount of air travel weekly means I waste a whole bunch of money on Us and People et al at the airport, so I do read them very regularly and the answer is no, not that often, unless there is a source. Particularly not Us or People as, I think a few people noted here, they are a bit more careful. Someone gave them that story, likely because they were trying to figure out what is going on. For all KB knows, some of her known 'friends' (i.e. her stylist) share some of these stories. Or some of her random crowd with starry eyes share this stuff.

Note they almost never claim to have sources on him - because they don't. Because she got so dumped by all her supposed friends after the CM thing, she really does have a circle of circumstantials in terms of her friends and it would not surprise me if they trade on her with stories. And the witnesses on her at the Vegas thing also were specific like this piece, not sort of/maybe, so someone is giving them this stuff. Why, I don't know. And I don't think it benefits her, unless you twist it to seem that she's gotta come up with some reason to be on the outs with him. And really, almost no one covers her, unless it's the odd photo here or there of her in some outfit. So this wouldn't happen if it weren't connected to him.

No veggies. Keeping it clean, have little ones here lol I don't think anyone is crazy or on crack here. I remember someone saying last week they were featured in US as a couple that fell in love on set. And oddly enough, that same feature appeared on their website, sans Alex and the Swamp Thing. I said "change of heart since they went to press?" Perhaps I wasn't off base, and US already had received the info regarding ST allegedly cheating on Alex...explaining their absence from the online version.

They were in a sidebar feature about True Blood couples - not the "couples on set/love" that Anna and Stephen ended up in as well as couples like Will and Jada Pinkett Smith. So I don't think they got left out. But yeah, I wouldn't have included them regardless. They couldn't even muster anything photo-wise where they didn't look morose...

He deserves to be with someone like me... but alas, I'm married.. so I would like to see him with some unknown.. maybe from his homeland... it would make it easier for us not to dislike the new girlfriend! lol

Soooo. I was snooping around on facebook and I came across something I found very interesting. I guess everyone knows Alex used to date Amelia Drake. Well she has a facebook page. It is definitely the same Amelia. She has the names of her two kids and lists the name of her current boyfriend. So if you link to her friends it shows her brother Joel Kinneman, who is a good Friend of Alex. But the interesting thing is My Skarsgård is also listed as a friend, Well if you click on My's name there are several Skarsgards that pop up, but an Alexander Skarsgård is listed there as well. Is believe this is Alexander Skarsgards actual Private Facebook Page. It shows a little blonde haired boy holding a Hammarby Flag. Go check it out for yourself and tell me what you guys think.
