I would love to see a decent wig...but I really don't care about the length so much as I care about the BLONDE!...I need his hair to be the same color as Sookie's. I prefer book Sookie too...I think Anna has a tendency to play her too camp.

I think it would be great to see Eric have longer...blonder hair for season 4...as an amnesiac...a hot, Swedish, viking amnesiac...:girlsigh:
The blond hair is a must. I don't know why they have kept it so dark. Also, in the book Eric has more of a presence. I am not sure what AB is doing but he is making dislike him a lot.

As far as Anna's version of Sookie, it is just not the book version. Her performance seems off in so many ways. This season, Anna was muted unless she happened to be speaking to Eric.

I like book Sookie as well. To me, AS looks better with long hair. Like the hair he had in some of the older picks from back when he was in Sweden. The wig is just weird to me.

I think Alex can work any look but I am with you... he was sooo dreamy with that longer hair.

I've been re-watching season one as well and when AS first came on his voice was different. Maybe he had a cold but it was raspier through out the season compared to now.

It's funny because I noticed that his voice was different the first episode he appeared in season 1 than the rest of the season. Maybe it was a cold or he was trying to do something with his voice.

Sounds weird to say but season 2 voice was the best... Eric was the best. LOL

Yes... the blonde hair is the most important and I wouldn't have as much of an issue with it being short if it was at least blonde.

I have dreams of season 4 but I think I am getting ahead of myself. I am actually a little worried at what AB might do with it.

Girl, it's called Battleship. And no doubt AS will beg AB to let him not dye his hair again as he grows it back in...sigh.

LOL...that bit just made me think about Eric/Yvetta in the dungeon...I like it when he does it fast...I'm terrible today...

Rawr. Mind is now back in gutter. Need to find that replay...I did like that AS said that was one of his favorite scenes..having sex with Yvetta and five seconds later flirting with Sookie...

I noticed that too! I think maybe he was trying to do a deeper, more manly Eric voice ( I prefer Alex's natural speaking voice that he used in season 2). He's had to be pissed off a lot more in season 3..and his angry voice pattern sometimes reminds me of the comedic stylings of Chandler Bing..."Do NOT...disappoint me!" "HOW...could you fail me?!" "NOW...is not one of those times!" ..I also noticed that a lot of the Vamps in season 1 had a different voice, and if you watch a lot of their lines are slightly out of sync with the video...probably because they had to do a lot of voice-over work, getting used to the fangs. That was probably hilarious.

I am very disappointed in the way Eric is being written on the show this season and it has ruined the show for me a bit. I am actually skeptical if I can watch the possible train wreck of my favorite book in the series next season. AB just literally has Eric as the bad guy with a sometimes good thought. But then again he usually turned that around into something self serving for Eric.

I think Sookie has a lot to do with the way Anna portrays her. I don't think Anna is a bad actress but she can be hit and miss.

This season has been a comedy mostly and it is just sooo campy.

There's a guy who does reviews on TB at Television Without Pity who loves AS, but noted that there were times that he sounded like a Muppet in the first season because he was working so hard at the American accent and keeping it emotionless that it was overload. Now they've let him get more Swedish as well. Agree w/Calypso that the yelling stuff is always a bit off kilter, doesn't sound that natural..

I think millions of women everywhere would agree with him. Oh to be a fly on the wall on set THAT day...or Yvetta...or Sookie...

The crew must be moral saints...I don't think I would have been able to get out of there without at least a ninja cell phone image of -- IT --

The yelling was odd for me because the way I read Eric in the books, he did not have to yell. Eric was already badass enough. I think that AB has Eric floundering a bit here--like he has no control. The Eric in the book was always in control of the situation.

AB thinks that he has to have a villain because Bill and Sookeh must be together. In his mind, I think he is telling a different story.

I have to thank the ladies at http://swedishdelishalexanderskarsgard.yuku.com for the find....

nelson ellis talking about AS acting as lettie mae... funny...

Too funny. I heard somewhere that even though Alex didn't have to wear the shoes that went with the dress because they weren't going to be in the shot...he insisted on wearing them...GIANT ladies shoes...because it was more fun that way.

Agreed. The only thing loud about Eric in the books is his laughter...and shouting in a language Sookie doesn't understand when he's blasting off. Alan Ball and all of his Billsh*t. geez.

LMAO! Love me some Chandler Bing! Now I'm going to have to go back and re-watch that again. Seems I kept getting sidetracked looking at the low slung pants, could have sworn I could see the base of his peen.
