I honestly don't have an opinion. I could kind of see the announcement of the pregnancy (which I think was Aug 19th) sending her into a tailspin if the trip was going badly. I don't think she's close enough to Orlando to be told before the public announcement (I think he showed up at the Mulberry thing in December for Cher, not for KB) and pregnancy rumors are so pervasive these days that maybe she ignored it or thought, well, who cares? I have Alexander. Until she didn't have Alexander.

That said, I won't believe they have actually broken up until a solid three months has gone by with no photos. and if they haven't broken up? Wow is he letting her get creamed in the court of public opinion. i am not sure if there is anything he could do (like take her out somewhere pap friendly) given he was in Hawaii (if in fact he left on Tuesday) but the latest her rep could have been contacted and still gotten a quote in and beat press time for last week is monday afternoon, I think, so they would have had a bit of time to go somewhere if they were contacted by the PR person. (and holy conflict of interest there, does the PR person call him too in a case like this?)

Also, re: the Emmy's, I could see HBO telling him not to bring anyone distracting b/c they are pushing the Eric/Sookie/Bill thing or, her not wanting to go because it was beneath her since it was a television event, not a film event, particularly if she was being manipulative w/him.

Yup, it's real. It's been discussed here on and off. At one point, someone even posted family photos from one of his cousin's pages (they were removed since private family pics are not allowed).

Remember how I mentioned the dark-haired lady whose daughter was in the pool pic with Alex sent me a tag request on FB for a photo I uploaded of him? She tagged my pic to that page.

Has anyone seen this Eric & Sookie fan video that WOS posted? The creator did a fantastic job.

KB went to every TB event except this one. She was at the cast party, the TB party (in the weird black dress). I don't think the fact that the emmys is for tv would have been a deterrent to her.

Wasn't she also at the HBO party at the Golden Globes, too? And I think there was another HBO party after an awards show that she attended. I remember a picture of her laughing it up with Ryan Kwanten.

That is right. I forgot about those. I think in KB's case, all you have to say is read carpet, and she is there unless she is not welcome. It is kind of like a crack head trying to get into a crack house.

Yes, I think there's a line between not wanting to talk about your relationship and letting the other person get blasted/bombarded if it's not true which makes me wonder about this whole thing. If they reappear together, and it wouldn't surprise me if she throws every scrawny ounce she has at that goal, she does look even more pathetic than we've been slagging her off for being over these last few months. This is way worse than just the walking ten yards ahead photos. And I'm sure that Monday am there were definitely calls to the publicist to say what the hell since they weren't together at any after parties. So yep, plenty of time to do a public repair if needed.

I halfway think she didn't go to the Puss premiere and Emmy's because she accomplished her goal of getting Alex. It seemed like every event he went to she was also there. Maybe she was using those events to get closer to him and now she doesn't need to.

Really, I am just girding myself for disappointment here, I really want to think her not being at the Emmy's is a sign that they have parted because I think they are unsuited to each other and they navigate the world in very different ways and his way is really, really awesome and hers is.... not and I don't want him to change a thing about who he is.

I have to agree with Gatorgurl here - she is like a crack addict about parties in the industry. And this one was loaded with major film folks - including Susan Sarandon, Al Pacino, others who have worked with HBO. Full red carpet with major gowns. That is so up her alley. If you ever search her on JJ, the posts make it glaringly clear she will go to the opening of a Dollar Tree if she can get photo'd. I think she would go regardless of the state of their relationship if she was at all on good footing with him, which is what makes it really weird...

OK. But explain the cast parties and TB parties. Also, KB has not been A-list for a while. Her movies are not that successful and she is not a bankable actor. This is not my bias talking but honesty. Christina Ricci was not there because she is not a bankable actress. It is pretty hard to compare Angelina Jolie to Kate Bosworth. (Please don't take offense. I am not trying to be smart or snarky.) I am not sure that her absence at the emmys is a big deal but I do believe that the absence of photos of the two of them is as well as her absence at the after parties is. Not even a month ago, there were pictures of her walking her dog or him going to the grocery store. Why the sudden change?

Hmmmm...good point about the Globes...but I'm pretty sure the other award show I was thinking about was just for television. Also, Brad, Angie and George are all working actors that probably had projects out at the time. What was the last RELEASED movie of Kate's????

EDIT: It was the SAG awards, which as an actress I guess I can understand why she was there. However, both the GG and SAG awards she only attended the after-parties and NOT the actual events.

I don't think that I am out of line if I say that we all agree with you here. I believe that the lack of sightings, from a couple that were papped so regularly is a big deal. Lets face it. We all love AS here but he is not a HW heavyweight yet. However, him and KB were photoed more than Leo and Bar. That is just weird.
