What about faces, can the comments be made? What about the clothing? Accessories, make up and hair?

Maybe instead of asking for the world to shut the f up forever it'd be a better idea to start dealing with the insecurities?

honestly i really don't have much regard for what he says. he seems to think he is god...adele's too fat, he is too annoying.

ETA: I'd rather look like adele over karl any day. he is ugly inside and out :yes:

All these "he was just stating the obvious..." comments are killing me.

His comments were mean and hurtful. Why in the hell should her weight have even been brought up in the first place? What about her killer voice, successful album, etc. Commenting to the media about someone elses weight (overweight or underweight) just shows poor taste and arrogance IMO. Period.

He's an overpaid a** who needs a piece of humble pie.

No one asked Karl Slaggerfreak his opinion on Adeles body.I still don't get why he had to say anything about her being "a little fat". Karl as a public figure who works for a fashion house designing clothing for women should have known better. Whether he's stating the "obvious" or not. And it's also apparent that those who agrees or see's what he says as "no big deal" has the same thinking. I mean just look at the comment about "fatties".

I agree that he was mean and rude. If any of us talk about someone's weight or figure it is not going to make it's way into the headlines, around the world or to the famous person we are talking about.

Karl has been famous a long time now, he should know better. It sounds like he is an arrogant, pretentious jerk.

I'm so over celebs (and people in general) placating. They asked his opinion on women music stars, he said "The thing at the moment is Adele. She is a little too fat, but she has a beautiful face and a divine voice." It's his honest opinion. If there is one thing you can count on with Karl it's that he will give you an honest opinion. That's what I want to hear in an interview. He said a lot of controversial stuff in that interview, doesn't bother me at all. Call it like you see it. Don't give me these run of the mill, politically correct, cookie cutter responses and then talk sh*t when the recorder goes off like 95% of the world does.

Not calling anyone fat but sometimes people are just fat. Doesn't make them any less of a person just a descripter of their physical form.

People don't get it. There's a difference between an average joe making a comment and a famous person doing it. The reason some people are annoyed by his comment is because he's a public figure. We ALL say negative things and have negative thoughts. That is NOT the point. He is a famous womens designer who many may look up to for inspiration. He is in the public eye and is a huge influence in the fashion world. The things he says might stick with some people who have body image issues. He should know better. He's said insensitive things in the past and i think people are just sick of it.

We all know Adele isn't the skinniest, i know it, you know it and she knows it. That's not the point. The point is that sometimes it better to keep your mouth shut and not say stupid things for no reason. Being rude does not equal being honest...there seems to be a perception that being loud mouthed and ignorant is honest. Sorry but that's just an excuse people use to get away with rudeness.

I agree. He is a major player in the fashion industry. Hello.................the faSHiOn INdUsTRy (you know, that *one* industry that is probably single-handedly responsible for perpetuating poor body images amongst young women). Like, duh...............
