It's not a "vanity issue"? Are you kidding me? This is Karl Lagerfeld we are talking about, not Dr. Oz.
Seriously.

So what if it's the truth? Do we go around pointing out everyone's flaws because it's 'the truth?" I'm surprised at how many people believe that's a valid excuse to say certain things.
Frankly, health issues are between the individual and their doctor. I think it's pretty common knowledge that being overweight can have health issues, nobody is denying that. But calling someone fat in a negative way is not helping the issue or doing anyone any good. A segment on Dr. Oz about weight is the mature way to bring awareness to the problem without putting anyone down. A fashion designer calling someone a little too fat is not the right way to getting the message about 'health' out.
truth!let's be honest here - being called skinny is not nearly as insulting as being called fat as much as people like to think it is.
I'm a huge fan of Adele. But, fame has a way of making MANY stars back peddle when it comes to weight. They all say "Oh, I'm happy just the way I am...". Then, give it a few months or years and look who is dropping serious pounds to fit into the 'mold'.
I've only seen one actress say (in so many words), she'd be lying if she said she was happy fat. That was Octavia Spencer. For her she said, it's a matter of health.
