49 Square Miles (SQ MI) Handbag Thread

When I took my group shot of my Starlet collection yesterday, it wasn't until I was looking at the photos on my computer that I noticed the short Loganberry strap was attached to the detachable rings, rather than the handbag itself. So there are TWO sets of rings on each side - I'd much rather have the detachable rings on the crossbody strap, and put the shorter strap back where it belongs. I've provided a photo of each side of the 'screw' that holds that strap - I can't, for the life of me, figure out how to get it apart - I've tried 'unscrewing' it but it won't budge. Any thoughts? The original owner MUST have done this, but - ?

Left is the "front" of the "screw" on the wrong ring! - right is the back side. (different bags, yes, I'm too lazy to take new photos)

India I was going to ask about that when I saw it in the picture. Maybe you could sent it to 49 sq and they can fix it for you. I don't think I would try to attempt that by myself but that is just me.

GAH! I wonder if my leather guys at Tandy could do it - I'd have to send all of it (the bag and the strap) to 49SM ... and they might have to send it to China - I'll check with my leather guys here and see if they have the tools...

FRACKING DUH!!!! The leather on the strap has a slit and you can just slide the leather over the knob - Christ-on-a-bucket. DUMB DUMB DUMB, I figured it out and everything is now where it should be.

Has anyone sent something to 49 Square Miles to be fixed? I have a minor issue with my green Clingy but I'd still like to get it fixed. The stitching on one of the zipper pulls is starting to come undone. TIA!

I haven't had to - but e-mail "mary @ 49sqmi.com" (remove the spaces) and she'll help you; she's a terrific lady and will be MORE than helpful, actually -

JC- I sent in my Wood backstabber because of the stitching issue, I also had them take care of some denim transfer (I know how awful of me to get DT on my bag) It took about 4 weeks to get it back but I sent mine back thru Von Maur so your might be quicker.
