OK the enabler in me says to get it.. it'll be a gorgeous bag.

Common sense in me says to save your $$. Another bag will come along that you won't be so undecided on...

OK, everybody, here's the final decision: This morning in the cold light of day I've definitely decided no hot pink Starlet, even at the wonderful price of 239. My promise to myself: Four bags, that’s it. And that's what I've got. I will get the Flashy Camera Bag when that comes out here in a couple of weeks; I do need it for my new camera. That one I'd be OK with it being 'persimmon'.

Common sense prevails! And I had to remind myself of my favorite quote when it comes to Handbag Addiction:

I use the "out to dinner" justifications. I go out to a semi-nice dinner and spend $50-$75 with drinks and tip. That money's gone, never to be seen again. Skip a few dinners out and I have a new bag or pair of boots.

But my huband buys it with the "ours" money. We have "ours" money and "mine" money. (Interestingly, there is no "his" money.) I handle all the house accounts, bill paying, etc. DH has no idea how much money we do or don't have. Bags and shoes usually come out of the "mine" money. Of course, sometimes that account has no money and the purchases have to come from the "ours" money. I recently let him have his own debit card. (We've been married for almost 18 yrs. I thought he earned the right to try. We'll see how he does. There are the good and bad sides of having a DH with absolutely no concept of money!) ;)

II - maybe you could wait and see if you still want it later? I think pink might be around for a bit. It's the only color starlet on sale and was the only color Starlet that they were selling new and discounted at the Sample Sale.

queenie - my DH is similar.

MB, good idea. Doesn't sound like it's going anywhere. Might have to check out the next sample sale, see if there's a HP Starlet somebody could hold for me... At least this lets me dream.

Whatever you decide India at least you have a closet full of beautiful bags. You've now got an amazing collection. Maybe leaving 1 open spot in your closet is a good thing. You never know 49 might pull out all the stops with their spring line or maybe even their fall 11 line.

There are still dark marks, but I am okay with it. This may be my favorite bag ever. I love the way the leather is distressing (maybe a little faster than expected, but still love it.) I may have begun a Natural obsession. Uh oh!

my rule is don't use your cc for bag purchases (or anything else for that matter unless it's an emergency) since it's not really a good deal if you can't pay off the balance by the end of the billing cycle.

I think the Bigmouth posted in the deals thread is actually a regular "grey" one the stitching is pink but not hot pink like cement. I think it's an old grey one. Reg. Grey is fantastic! It's a slightly deep grey than cement. :love: makes me miss my old snootie patootie in grey.

Lu, I keep on trying to get this cement/gray thing straight, but can't, thank goodness you're here. To even pay attention to hot pink thread vs. pink thread - that's an eye for detail. You are truly blessed.

Who ever gets that bigmouth in reg. grey on ebay is going to get an amazing deal. The grey is really pretty IRL. It's a versatile grey it doesn't sway toward winter or summer a great neutral.
