ANNUAL COLOR WEEK BAG SHOWCASE!!

A long standing trading (10 years and counting!) is to remind ourselves of how wonderful our own collections are by showcasing them by color. We can see how far we have come, collection wise, and we reminded that we have all (or most of) what we need making it easier to shop our own closets.

To make this celebration fun, we share bags of a certain color each week.

COLOR WEEK BAG SHOWCASE!

• New color weeks start each Sunday

• Don’t jump ahead but, if you miss a week, please do show your bags “late”.

• Show bags individually or in a group

• You do NOT have to wear the bags that week

• For added fun, show pictures from previous years (2016-2024) or even just one photo from when you started your collection to demonstrate how you have curated it over time.

• This is completely voluntary. There is no pressure to post at any time.

COLOR WEEKS

Feb. 9: Red (including burgundy)

Feb. 16: Orange & Yellow

Feb. 23: Purple & Pink

Mar. 1: Blue & Indigo (including turquoise & teal)

Mar. 8: Green

Mar. 15: Black

Mar. 22: Gray

Mar. 29: White & Cream

Apr. 5: Brown & Tan

Apr. 12: Metallic (gold, silver, bronze and more!)

Apr. 19: Jeweled and all other embellished

Apr. 26: Multicolored

If you have posted in previous years, you can search the previous threads to find old photos of your bags to share the journey of your curation
I am in. I need the reminder. Yesterday I ordered something on posh.

I went on the hellscape that is Facebook and joined two Buy Nothing groups. I was horrified. No one was gifting anything of value. It was all trash - things like old storage containers and expired food. 😱

I decided to just donate all my things to a local thrift shop.

Then today I saw this on TikTok and laughed like a crazy woman at the accuracy.

I donate or gift items that I once loved to friends or family who would appreciate them… a local thrift shop works too :)

So accurate! I have tried many times to give things away, not trash but useful items and all they need to do is come get the stuff, but no one wants to come get free stuff. It’s insane. I end up putting it on the curb and it’s usually gone in a few hours

With buy nothing I often give toys and stuffed animals and they go. I guess my area is more generous. There was furniture, dishes, a four wheeler, bikes and lots of other stuff. There is the occasional junky stuff but mostly real things.

My family is tiny and my friends are well off.. or pretending to be. So I have only one person to whom I can give anything. So, to the thrift store my things will go. 🫤

Your area is definitely more generous. I was honestly horrified at the things being given away. Lot of expired food and IMO worthless items like a broken wheel from an office chair or a set of 4 scrunchies. It’s not worth someone’s gas or stomach to get those things.

That is some weird stuff. Why people would even want stuff like that is beyond me.

I’m so frustrated. I listed all of my currently for sale items on Poshmark and they all disappeared. I’ve reached out to PM’s CS twice and have only gotten automated acknowledgment of my outreach. They haven’t responded and the items aren’t reinstated.

I have always hated PM and this solidifies that I’m going to delete the app.
That is so weird. If you only listed expensive bags and nothing else , it might have put a block on them till they could be checked out. They have been working hard to get the fakes off their site. This is just a guess. I know your bags are real and lovely.

Yes. As you know, I have no tolerance fakes. That being said, I would think I’d get a response of some sort to my TWO inquiries.

This brings me to another point. I’ve decided I’m not patronizing (including selling through) any business that doesn’t have good customer service - which for me includes the ability to talk to a human. My “footprint” is getting smaller and smaller. I’m actively trying to limit my transactions to a few responsible, quality, customer centric companies.

The purse gods are giggling. The Cult Gaia bag that I bought just came in and it’s a NOPE!

This bag was much prettier and looked better quality in pictures than in person. IMG_2827.jpeg

I’m sleepy so I’m going to quickly bullet point my issues
• It’s overweighted on one side so it keeps rolling to one side then flopping onto it’s back.
• The beautiful metal accent on the handle is split in two with an obvious, large seam
• The magnetic clasp is weak. I could see it failing with just a few wear.
• The raffia is woven in a way that seems skimpy vs the two other raffia bags I have (Prada and Loewe).
• The leather trim is unremarkable.

I’m going to RUN to post and return this. :whut: How disappointing. I’d be scared of buying anything from Cult Gaia again. I fully expected a lower level of quality than I’ve gotten used to but this is ridiculous.

Does anyone have a good experience from the brand to share?
