December Activities and Challenges - pick and choose as you please.

I. 2024 Year In Review Reflection
(Thanks @Vintage Leather)

Utilize these thought starters to evaluate your collection, your usage patterns and your lessons learned in 2024.
• What is your most useful purse?
• What is your best purchase of the year?
• We’ve all had a lot of lifestyle changes this year - how has it affected your style?
• What is the one thing we’ve learned this year that you want to take into the next?

II. Setting 2025 Goals
Take this month to consider what you want to do with your handbag collection, wardrobe or even your beautiful life in 2025. Share these thoughts in January when we start the 2026 Shopping Your Closet thread.

III. End of year optional challenges

• Holiday colors: December has many holidays celebrated across the world - red & green, brown & gold, blue & white and more! Pick the holiday that you want to honor and wear / show off your bags in those traditional colors.

• End with a bang: As we come to the last part of the year, wear the last bag you’ve purchased at least 3 times this month.

@Vlad please pin this to the top of our thread.

Bags out:
1 (or 2)
My laptop backpack/ makeshift hospital bag died on me in Jan and I finally got it to the recycling centre this week.
The second bag that went out was in my closet for departing bags. I gifted it to the custodian in mum's hospital ward. The bag wasn't included in my total bag stats this year since I was sure it would leave my hands at the first opportunity, so I'm not sure I can count it as an "out". :shrugs:

Bags in: 1
Replacement backpack. It's okay but, not what I would have normally chosen. Frankly, it's too big and the internal organization is seriously lacking, but it was all I could find in a hurry so I'm making it work.

No other activity in my closet.

Life is insanely difficult at the moment. I'm trying to ground myself with things that once brought me joy (hence bag stats). Anyway, I'm out of the loop. I'll be back soon to catch up on the thread. :flowers:
I’m hoping life gets easier and saner soon - sending you hugs. :hugs:

Love your gold Coach bag. This one would also be great for your Italy trip as a crossbody bag.

thank you ...I had a feeling you’d say the Coach would be a good choice.
Morebags,
@essiedub , plus three with @Sibelle and @More bags (and of course anyone else that I’ve missed re how cute and practical your gold Coach is. I found Italy pretty safe, and the Italian concierge at my hotel in Rome stated that she herself felt pretty secur all over Italy, except in Naples. (She wore a beautiful Cartier, VCA stack plus Rolex daily).

I have not kept up on this thread, but I’m sending best wishes and positive vibes to @papertiger , @Vintage Leather, @jblended. Hugs

In months where I try not to spend, I tend to have epic fails, so I simply try to stay busy with non retail activities, and when I feel the urge, shop my closet. I do try to re-evaluate my sartorial needs versus need for space (physical as well as head space) and that’s the time when I really utilize what I have.

Bags in or out - Zero!
Scarves in or out - 3 in (), and 1 out! Very (very) happy at the 3 in (2 grails and 1 perfect CSGM), and the one out was a gift to a dear friend.

Carried 9 different purses - most carried (6) was my Picotin, followed by the LV Graceful. The Graceful is proving to be a great purse for travel in warm weather, very happy I bought it last year!

Read 3 books (Starter Villain - hilarious and smart, Less - skimmed on the plane and left it there because I thought it was awful, and My Grandmother Asked Me to Tell You She’s Sorry - great book, but I did cry hard near the end), and have started Profit Song by Paul Lynch on Audible, and No Time Like the Past by Jodi Taylor.

Finally got over a terrible cold (4 weeks!), got a small donation out, got the taxes sorted and to the CPA, and I’m currently wading through a mountain of laundry.

I’m behind on the color weeks, will post them next!

Love all your bags! What is this beautiful backpack?
Thank you!
It’s from Howl & Hide, a small local business. I have 3 of their bags - the leather is nice and sturdy, and I think they’ll hold up well! They do a lot of fun things and some collaborations too - they recently designed some cool duffle bags for Tyrese Haliburton who gave them to all of the players in the recent NBA All-Star game.
