December Activities and Challenges - pick and choose as you please.

I. 2024 Year In Review Reflection
(Thanks @Vintage Leather)

Utilize these thought starters to evaluate your collection, your usage patterns and your lessons learned in 2024.
• What is your most useful purse?
• What is your best purchase of the year?
• We’ve all had a lot of lifestyle changes this year - how has it affected your style?
• What is the one thing we’ve learned this year that you want to take into the next?

II. Setting 2025 Goals
Take this month to consider what you want to do with your handbag collection, wardrobe or even your beautiful life in 2025. Share these thoughts in January when we start the 2026 Shopping Your Closet thread.

III. End of year optional challenges

• Holiday colors: December has many holidays celebrated across the world - red & green, brown & gold, blue & white and more! Pick the holiday that you want to honor and wear / show off your bags in those traditional colors.

• End with a bang: As we come to the last part of the year, wear the last bag you’ve purchased at least 3 times this month.

@Vlad please pin this to the top of our thread.

@Sibelle @More bags thank you ...I had a feeling you’d say the Coach would be a good choice.
Morebags, I did also think of your So Kelly as a possibility - always liked that bag.
SibElle, do you think that Coccinelle could work? It’s so cheerful!

Maybe I can get that Prada at the mothership in Milan! One of the sights I am most looking forward to is the Duomo rooftop. We are staying at a place that has a direct view of the cathedral! So I’m really excited to get the Duomo hot stamp at the Milan LV! This is from a post by @MooMooVT

Yes I think a bag like the Coccinelle bucket bag would work great. I would totally use it for an Italy trip. I am not sure if they still sell this model, but surely similar ones.

Meant to post this here, but accidentally posted in the 2023 thread. Oops! Trying again.

@dcooney, I’ve been adding to my Jellycat collection; I especially love their bag charms. Got a pig charm on Friday to add to my pig collection (DH and DD each have a set of the bigger and smaller pigs, too, so we could start a farm here!). Thought you might enjoy this “in action” shot. :hugs:

It seems very quiet in here. If you have been hitting the sales, don't stress this is not ban island. Just show your new eye candy. I like new things but at the same time try to keep my closet in order. It can be quite the balancing act.

Haha, I usually like to confess all my I-planned-to-not-buy things :P at the end of the month when we do our monthly stats, but I can say it now!

Earlier this month, I went to Buccellati because they invited me over for coffee. In retrospect, probably should have said no. Jewelry is such a weakness. I did plan on going to the store eventually because it's been about a year since I checked out the boutique. I love my Buccellati ring that I got last year and wear it often.
But I had been thinking about getting matching or similar style earrings with the ring. Buccellati does have a unique style, while not difficult to mix with other brands, does stand out on its own and I wanted something that could compliment it easily.

Anyway, walked into the store, chatted with the supervisor? (I think, he said he wasn't a SA or manager, but then I forget what he told me) Tried on some pieces, and ended up going with their lovely small silver Daisy earrings!
I did not want to buy the matching earrings for my ring because both versions were quite large and statement. Not used to it and I wanted something a little more everyday. The small Daisy earrings were not petite, they were about the size of a dime? Cute enough to notice but not be in your face.
I'm not a very feminine or floral person, so I wasn't sure about wearing florals but when I put them on, they were so cute! And so they went home with me.
Fortunately, being in the silver collection, they definitely did not break the bank haha.

I had a very spendy month last month and mentioned that I wanted to take a break until after April. But oh well. I fell in love with the earrings and it happened.
Then had coffee with the supervisor and a lovely chat. It was a nice afternoon.

Congrats @lill_canele , your new earrings are very pretty !

I managed not to buy anything "big" this month, I only got weak with two perfumes (one was a great deal I could not miss).

Here is my only pink / blush pink bag: the Polene Numero Un - I took it to work yesterday. I think it is a great bag for work as I have to carry a lot of things with me (2 pairs of glasses, 2 phones, etc ).

They are really perfect. A bit of whimsy without being to sweet. Something I would have chosen too.

Feb stats:

Bags out:
1 (or 2)
My laptop backpack/ makeshift hospital bag died on me in Jan and I finally got it to the recycling centre this week.
The second bag that went out was in my closet for departing bags. I gifted it to the custodian in mum's hospital ward. The bag wasn't included in my total bag stats this year since I was sure it would leave my hands at the first opportunity, so I'm not sure I can count it as an "out". :shrugs:

Bags in: 1
Replacement backpack. It's okay but, not what I would have normally chosen. Frankly, it's too big and the internal organization is seriously lacking, but it was all I could find in a hurry so I'm making it work.

No other activity in my closet.

Life is insanely difficult at the moment. I'm trying to ground myself with things that once brought me joy (hence bag stats). Anyway, I'm out of the loop. I'll be back soon to catch up on the thread. :flowers:
