December Activities and Challenges - pick and choose as you please.

I. 2024 Year In Review Reflection
(Thanks @Vintage Leather)

Utilize these thought starters to evaluate your collection, your usage patterns and your lessons learned in 2024.
• What is your most useful purse?
• What is your best purchase of the year?
• We’ve all had a lot of lifestyle changes this year - how has it affected your style?
• What is the one thing we’ve learned this year that you want to take into the next?

II. Setting 2025 Goals
Take this month to consider what you want to do with your handbag collection, wardrobe or even your beautiful life in 2025. Share these thoughts in January when we start the 2026 Shopping Your Closet thread.

III. End of year optional challenges

• Holiday colors: December has many holidays celebrated across the world - red & green, brown & gold, blue & white and more! Pick the holiday that you want to honor and wear / show off your bags in those traditional colors.

• End with a bang: As we come to the last part of the year, wear the last bag you’ve purchased at least 3 times this month.

@Vlad please pin this to the top of our thread.

My red collection, My brand new Longchamp (club pliage), Kate spade and Mulberry small Iris.

My 2024 Goal is to buy a Chanel bag. I’ve always admired the brand, Coco Chanel was just a trailblazer for fashion and Karl Lagerfeld really honoured her legacy. I’d love a pink tweed (any style) or perhaps a small flap in an unusual colours
The kate Spade is such a perfect shade of red. Love the Mulberry! All three are lovely! I wish I could wear bright red.

Your Mulberry Iris, what a cool style!

Thank you! :flowers:

Supposedly you do. They say only Winters can truly wear black; but no way I am giving up my black pants or purses . And since they are pants the color isn't near my face so it doesn't really matter. :shrugs: Any and all colors go with black, so a Fall colored shirt or sweater will look great with black pants, and put the 'right' color by my face.
That makes sense to me!

Hello dear virtual friends! I am happy to share my mum is recovering and we are slowly approaching her being out of the "critical" category. It has been a long couple of months but I am finally able to breathe a bit. We have a long road ahead of us and, frankly, life will never be "normal" for us but that is okay. We adapt and keep taking each day as it comes.

Thank you all for your care and support. I hope to be talking bags again soon.

I am having fun shopping in my closet. Yesterday I shipped a bag out and took the time to reorganize some of the other ones into a more pleasing way. With the constant bad weather my Orla Kiely backpack is getting quite a workout. It has a hint of pinkish/orange on the corner. I thought perhaps I had put it down in something that wasn't visible, but it is coated fabric and the coating is intact. The lining is orange on the inside. It is bugging me because I adore this bag and despite using it for foul weather I am very careful with it. Does anyone know how to repair this?

I wonder if the lining or the thread colour has seeped into the main fabric from the inside out. Perhaps it got a little wet from rain or a bottle of water inside your bag? It can happen and if it has dyed the coated fabric inside then it wouldn’t be possible to correct unless you risked bleaching it from the inside out. Big risk. Or you could try soaking that part of the bag in a solution of cold water and bicarbonate of soda. Sometimes bicarbonate can encourage the dirt/stain to come out. Try that overnight. Then try bicarb and white vinegar. Only thing with these things is that you risk making the bag worse.
I had a white nylon swatch strap and my red fleece jacket turned it pink after a couple of days wearing in rain. No amount of bleach or vinegar worked so I had to pay for a replacement strap. X

I don’t ever carry water in my bags. I guess could have seeped in . Here are pictures. It is not super visible unless looking from the bottom. It is strange because the inside never felt damp.

Breathing a sigh of relief and so happy to hear this good news! I wish your mom the best as she continues her recovery. And I hope you are taking care of yourself, too. Don’t neglect you!
