I. 2024 Year In Review Reflection

II. Setting 2025 Goals
Take this month to consider what you want to do with your handbag collection, wardrobe or even your beautiful life in 2025. Share these thoughts in January when we start the 2026 Shopping Your Closet thread.

III. End of year optional challenges

• Holiday colors: December has many holidays celebrated across the world - red & green, brown & gold, blue & white and more! Pick the holiday that you want to honor and wear / show off your bags in those traditional colors.

• End with a bang: As we come to the last part of the year, wear the last bag you’ve purchased at least 3 times this month.

I remember when you were debating whether or not to get this bag. I’m SO glad you did as it’s a stunner that - in my mind - screams Papertiger style!

Thank you! I know many use a bag to dress-up a casual outfit, I find the Le City good bag to dress a formal or classic outfit down a little. Gives it a bit of edge.

Help, please. I bought some items online at Kate Spade Outlet. As a result, I received two of these pouches. I have zero idea what to do with them. The faux shearling would seem to gather dust and retain oils on my hands.

I’m open to all suggestions because I hate to just plunk them in a drawer.
I’d give them away as stocking stuffers but I honestly don’t know anyone who would really be happy to receive them.

Ballet tomorrow, and I still don't know what I'll wear or which bag to take. I'll see what the weather brings and how I feel. I want to go to Liberty first and get a few little gifts so may be a slightly bigger bag than a clutch.

What do they look like on the inside? Could you turn them inside out and use them that way to cushion something you don't want rattling around? Other than that, use them as free gifts when you make a sale.

I use these kind of tings inside my larger bags. I don't have KS, but it doesn't matter who the brand is so long as they don't add too much to the overall weight.

Fill them with toiletry and makeup samples, and donate to a shelter or Dress for Success type program?

I have a friend that does that with all the samples he saves from business trips, hotels and in-flights. He takes them to a women's-only refuge. Many women flee from domestic violence situations with literally nothing.

What do they look like on the inside? Could you turn them inside out and use them that way to cushion something you don't want rattling around? Other than that, use them as free gifts when you make a sale.

1) the unexpected MVP of my bag closet has been…

Hermes Cannes GM.

So, this was a gift from VintageMama in February when she was cleaning her closet. It sat for several months, and then I started actively selling stuff starting in July.

This bag is built like a log hauler. It’s sturdy canvas, it opens incredibly wide - can hold 7 shipping boxes at one time - and has a small pouch on a cord for actual purse stuff. When I was making post office runs, I could load it up. When I was flying the Knight off to college “I forgot my…” toss it in. When moving, random small things just got tossed in. (Including the car keys, but that just added to the “fun”).

I mentioned I purchased some items from Kate Spade outlet during Black Friday weekend. Well, everything is in and I’m not impressed. I don’t own costume jewelry but thought it would be fun to get some of the earrings… well…

🫤 I would never choose to wear them over my existing jewelry so all 4 pair will be turned into stocking stuffers for our nieces.

I also got 2 totes intending to use them for future beach vacations. I really like the nylon leopard which will be cute with several colors of swimwear like black, red or white
But the gold tote is “hard” vs nylon or a softer materiel. Plus it’s scratchy and I’d worry about delicate summer fabrics. I think I’m going to gift this to Mr. Sparkle’s aunt. She’ll get a lot of joy out of it whereas it’s not quite working for me.


I don’t count beach totes in my collection total. To me, they’re utility / luggage type bags.

It’s a pity the jewellery and the gold tote didn’t work out, but the leopard is cute!

It’s not a vacation bag, but my Christmas party bag, matches my party outfit and is black sequin -my much younger gf helped me choose it so it’s only Dune, not my favourite , but I only wear it with one outfit!

I count them separate as sport/travel/single use. I have a backpack I only use for travel, a bag I only use for outdoor art fairs as it fits in a hidden pocket in my chair and that type of stuff. I try to stay in a certain amount with these type of bags ,so I count them on a separate list.

These are great and a lot of fun.

I count all bags as bags.

I live by the beach so it's slightly different. My mother also used to live in seaside place (she loved the sea). Unless I'm going to sunbathe or swim I just walk along the beach carrying whichever bag I fancy for the day. I have a folding nylon bag if I need to set it down on the sand

I completed my challenge yesterday. I've worn my Bal Le City 3 tines. Last night even to the ballet. It's my newest new bag
