OMG, I am so sorry. I hope you are feeling better. And, I hope your friends husband is okay.

Poor pear tree. We have black gum trees in planters on our terraces, but it’s a lot of work when they fall over.
Previously we had apple trees, but they couldn’t withstand the wind.

@cecchetti , happy birthday to Miss Bianca.

@Sparkletastic , love your jumbo. It’s wonderful when you rediscover a treasure

You look great. Loving the combo of the outfit with the rock tee, and the red coat is TDF.

I'm 'feeling' checks recently :ghi5:

Last week was a good handbag week

Balmain and Bal Bowler Tuesday
Bal le City Weds
Hermes Rouge H Bolide Friday.

What a weekend :sweatdrop: though.

Started Saturday with a migraine and vomiting (I think I didn't drink enough water on Friday) as a huge storm decided to launch a tree into my garden from next door. My poor shed. My poor pear tree. It cost me, but a tree surgeon managed to put almost everything is put to rights this afternoon. I still have a lot of clearing-up to do. I knew that tree needed pollarding, it was top heavy. The sad thing is the birds loved it in the Spring and Summer, so I will miss it too.

I can't believe that was my weekend. I managed to see a friend as her husband spent all night at the A&E after having an accident at work, but she lives down the road so I just threw on a Loewe leather duffle coat and used my pockets.

How is everyone else?
Gosh! You had it rough. It’s in thing ti feel bad but it’s triply worse to add in any kind of maintenance / repair issue.

I hope you feel better and that this week’s events are just the happy tonic you need. :hugs:

To continue the holiday challenge., I intended to wear my Marc Jacobs Stam in metallic hunter green w/bright gold hardware today. But, I went bargain hunting in the incredibly gloomy, cold and rainy weather so super casual and cozy clothing was very much required. I just didn’t have anything in that category to wear that would look good with a bag with that big of a personality.

So, I wore a different bag I haven’t worn in a loooong time - at least 14-16 months. 😱 YSL black/black small cabas tote.

I hadn’t worn this because I had sent it off to have structure inserted as it slouches a bit. Once Dago Bros got the bag, however, they doubled the price from what they quoted when I sent pictures. I was irritated and told them to send it back. So it’s been sitting in my closet.

The surprise happy dance I did with my red Chanel yesterday made me hopeful I could love this bag again. So off we went together!

Verdict: very strong like tilting into light love. I consider that a win! I still wish she had more structure but I’ve decided to embrace the bag for what it is. IMG_2201.jpeg

Oh no! Feel better soon!
I'm sorry about your pear tree and the shed. Nature is unpredictable and it's always devastating that so much work can be ruined overnight or even in a couple hours.
Earlier this year, I didn't fortify my cherry tomatoes with enough scaffolding and one morning I looked in horror to see that they had all fallen over from their own weight. Fortunately they were recovered, but they were also top heavy due to all the tomatoes growing from them.

My husband and I caught a cold from a Friendsgiving the week before. Fortunately, it was a mild cold and resolved in about 4 days. So this past week was quiet, lots of rest.
We're hoping that there will be no more illnesses so that we can enjoy time with friends and family this holiday season.

Gorgeous!

What about an organizer of sorts that’s made to measure for this bag? Would that help with the slouchiness you don’t love?
