2023 Holiday pendant

There is only one HP for me to choose from. For those who have seen multiple silver obsidian in person, what are the variations? I’ve seen some nice texture on the silver obsidian on this forum and wonder if it’s just different angles of the picture taken? The HP I was offered was pretty flat, seems to be a darker color, and not much shimmer. TIA

I hope someone else can chime in with detailed photos of this, but I purchased from remote and was offered between a lighter shade vs darker shade. I opted for the lighter shade. From what I saw there was some tiny variations in striations but from afar it wasn’t noticeable at all. I don’t think you would be able to see the slight shimmer unless you were also looking up close.

What do you all think of pairing the HP with vintage Alhambra earrings in onyx? I got offered the HP over phone and paid to secure it…as I don’t live near my VCA boutique I’ve asked my SA to pick a darker shade for me. I already have the pendant in gray MOP, and now the silver obsidian HP so I don’t think I’ll be getting the onyx pendant to match my earrings

I pair the RG frivoles with the HP and I’m loving the coordination-without-matchiness (though I think it varies person to person on if you think Frivole coordinates with Alhambra )

I would pair the pendant with a different earring. Either perlee hoops or frivole earrings.
Please report back how the HP compares to your gray MOP HP.
I also have the gray MOP pendant so I’m hesitant to purchase this year’s.

Hi, I shared this somewhere else on the forum, but I from what I was offered one (“lighter”) was catching the silver shimmer at a particular angle, and another (“darker”) wasn’t - it just stayed pretty much dark. I use term lighter and darker loosely here, as in most angles both looked pretty similar (dark). Please see pics to illustrate. I picked a “lighter” one for the glimpse of the silver shimmer that I found more interesting, but honestly it can only be seen at a particular angle/ in a certain light and when worn it doesn’t really look like this. Hope this helps!

I actually saw the holiday pendant today at my local boutique. No one was looking at it lol or inquiring about it. My SA said what they had on display is what’s for sale so there didn’t seem to be any requirements to purchase? I didn’t ask about it because I didn’t realize what it was. It’s a really pretty sparkly gray!

How nice that would be for someone looking just for that. It must depend upon how many HP each boutique was allocated and how many were already promised to existing VIPs.

Agreed! Hopefully someone that wants it gets it! It seems yg is the more popular metal in my local boutique.
