I was surprised I got a call from my SA asking if I was inyerested in the HP after she sent a picture and video and I declined. I already have the onyx and wasn’t too thrilled with the video. I have other items on my wishlist that I can save for.

Just got photos of mine!! I’m a neutral gal, so totally love it!

I’m also thinking it will bring together my other WG / RG pieces (Panthère watch, mini RG frivole earrings) really nicely.

Well where should I start. So I had 3 pendants to choose from and surprisingly the darker shade amongst the 3 (the middle) actually compliments my skin tone more compare to the lighter shade (I’m Asian with fair skin tone). Which is a surprise because I was planning to get the lighter shade so that it’ll have a bit more shimmering effect. Although I love how it look on me….I ended up not getting it for now Reason because the darker shade has some texture to it but I wanted a more uniform look. The lighter shade was quite uniform but it looked lackluster against my skin tone compare to the darker one. So for now my SA is keeping an eye out on my ideal pendant and I’m crossing my fingers it won’t be sold out by then. So for those who are interested, I would highly recommend seeing it in person if possible (especially for someone who is picky like me lol).

But I didn’t leave empty handed though. Instead I got the pave diamond frivole pendant in rose gold with pink sapphire This has been on my wishlist for the longest time ever since it never arrive at my boutique until TODAY. It was definitely a sign to take this little beauty home.

Ahahaha, I had to look up the old thread from 2017. Where people were talking about the bullseye having iridescent striations, and texture, and being burgundy red. And then finally the thread being like, “Okay, it just looks brown.”

Every year, my favorite quote that you inevitably hear on this forum is the one where they say, “This year’s holiday pendant looks different in different lighting.” Yes, I would obviously expect that of every material in the universe, but I don’t carry a stage light on me at all times to show passersby that my pendant is actually a pastel salmon color, when it’s actually just brownish orange carnelian.

I know we’re all a little delulu for VCA on this forum. But I’ll be putting my foot down and be the first to call out the emperor’s new clothes for this year.

I think this year’s pendant is a disappointment. Underwhelming. Duplicative. Should’ve done pietersite/sodalite if they wanted to use one of the new stones.

And y’all know this thread would be popping off the rails if VCA decided to use jade, opal, or sugilite this year.

I love this so damn much, I started cackling at my desk!

I have to agree. Although it’s pretty, bc the frame in RG is pretty, the actual photos of the HP are flat. I just saw the MOP one listed by a reseller and it has more depth and sheen. I have to say seeing @cd0867’s photo made me remember grays don’t look good on me either. The Frivole is so beautiful on you @cd0867 whereas the HP is just ok. I’m glad you’re waiting for a better shade of it for your skin tone.

To everyone who got theirs already, congrats! It’s a great neutral if it suits your skin tone.

Yes, she used it as a stock photo. HP always comes out better irl. Maybe see it in person and decide

Thank you I agree in comparison the GMOP is a tad bit more special than this year’s HP. But nonetheless this year’s HP is still a beautiful piece for those who doesn't own already the GMOP version or wants to add this to their jewelry collection.

Now that you mentioned, I actually don’t have a lot clothing/accessories in grays either. I feel like certain shades of grays makes my skin tone look dull so it’s a bit tricky to style for me (a lot of my neutrals are either blacks/whites/creams). The darker shade HP kind of looks like onyx at a glance in certain lighting so that’s why it looked better on me compared to the lighter shade.

Thank you Yes, the earrings would complete the whole set. Apparently there’s few availability for the earrings than the pendant. I believe there are only 2 pairs currently in stock when my SA checked yesterday.
