Are you NOW willing to experiment and list it as an auction with $1 start price? I just did that with two bags that ended up going for the amounts I had hoped they would when I started them at a dollar. Just try it, what do you have to lose at this point?
That’s exactly what I am going to do. I’m listing it on Sunday because auctions that end on a Sunday tend to go for more.
I am sorry this happened. Hopefully another buyer will come along soon. Maybe a better bag will show up soon and would have made you regret buying that WOC. At least I hope so.
Hopefully the auction will work. I haven’t sold anything at auction in a long time.
Good that I've written here how many bags I was going to list. Otherwise, I'd have listed none of them. Now three is up for sale and took altogether half day including both taking and phoshoping pics + desciption.
1) Can you relist for the price you accepted or sell to
Fashionphile?
2) Everything happens for reason. It might have been fake and you've saved yourself from all the hassle.
I tend to ask lower prices when I've more spare time to spend but rise the prices when I'm super busy because then every sale takes extra hard effort.
Good job on listing!!!
And I’m the same way? If I’m busier I post for a little more. And I alway list for more on Vestiare and Tradesy. Not only are their fees more but they are much more of a hassle for sellers.
I can’t consign. Neither Fashionphile nor Yoogie’s take the Edge.
I think I mentioned this before. This was a bag I got interested in because I had just joined tPF and ladies were taking about it. I got caught up in the hype and bought more out of feeling I was aligning with what “people who buy quality buy” than because I loved the bag. Hard lesson learned. The style isn’t me. I don’t want python in a daily wear bag. And, I don’t buy anything without the hope of decent resale. Most of all, I don’t buy anything I don’t love anymore. No matter how popular, how desired, how good the quality, how good the value, how practical, etc. etc. (Hermes, I’m looking at you.) I HAVE to love it.
I have a friend who has sold lots of stuff on eBay who says it’s been proven that things sell for the most when they start out listed at $.99 with no reserve. He sells mostly sports cards, but said it’s true regardless of the type of item. It’s definitely worth considering.
This is what I’m going to try.

And in the “when it rains it pours” category, the person who bought my tote got it and immediately asked for a return because she said she bought too much.

That isn’t a valid reason for a return and I could decline but I don’t want her to change her tune, claim an SNAD and possibly send me back a damaged bag. So I’m going to accept it. Grrrrrrr!
I’ve calmed myself by doing a lot of online shopping myself. But all things I actually need - home decor to round out our home project and clothes for me. I still don’t have any desire to buy lots of premier clothes. I found a ton of cute things online with
Nordstrom, BCBG, and even Macy’s. I ordered two sizes in most things where I wasn’t familiar with the brand. I have found that using sizing charts don’t even ensure a good fit.
I also decided to add some more jeans to my wardrobe.. I don’t typically like jeans but it’s getting harder and harder to find nice dresses. Especially fall / winter dresses.
So, I searched and searched til I found some jeans that are...Sparkletastic. Lol! I wanted some that are fun but, I don’t like faded, frayed, ankle, super high waisted, super low waisted, shiny, weird colors, western, ripped, torn, cropped or lots of embellishment.

I pretty much just like dark or black skinny or slim jeans some kind of interesting construction or a little embellishment. Sooooo...that really limits options. I hope they fit well!!
And, Mr. S I taking me jewelry shopping tonight to help make up for the lost bag. It will be fun to pick out items for my bday and Christmas. But it will be hard to wait to see what he selects from what I show him that I like. I am such a big kid when waiting for surprises. I’m super impatient. Lol!
