How is everyone doing with the challenge they chose? I did the love it or list it this month and it really helps cull my collection. Next month I want to try one of the other challenges . Maybe wear all my bags of one color at least once in the month.
I also have decided to count the bag Dh bought me for Christmas this month since it is in the house already.
i am doing fine, i wore my all black bags at least twice :)

and today i am wearing my last black bag - No5 - Balenciaga Tattoo, absolute 100% success, my personal grail
i only have left a BV clutch unworn, as i just had no any occasion this month, but the clutch is not a big deal breaker, i sometimes wear it a few times in a row, and then don't use it for a couple of months.

I successfully walked past all the sales, both, in the mall/shops and online
i planned to get some stuff from BV on sale, and i got it a week ago, when the sale started.
i didn't check any site on purpose, i deleted all the sales alert emails from the inbox.
I shopped on Saturday with a list i made at home, and i was working on it for 3 days (pre-xmas stuff), i got all i had on the list and strayed away very little - got a book for my son and plush kitty for my daughter to praise them for being good and helpful on the insanely busy shopping run with me for the whole day
i feel like i am acting like an adult now
You did very well. I think rewarding the kids for good behavior is a good idea. I only ordered some art supplies that I needed and some clothes I needed as I rarely buy clothes and sorely needed a few things. Since I hate try things on I ordered them online. I hope they fit because I don't want to go out clothes shopping.

thank you! :)
i like shopping for clothes, but i hate to do it in a rush, or during sales, coz fitting rooms are always a mess!

AARGH! No! The Celine won’t budge. :crybaby: And, I have it listed for next to nothing. I’ve even retaken it’s photos twice. They are doing to bury me with thet doggone bag. Lol!

It’s the Dior Soft Tote thet I bought preloved but didn’t realize had shorter straps than I prefer. I lost 20% on it which isn’t horrible but, I only wore the bag once. Lesson learned to carefully check the specs on any bag I buy.

So now I just have 2 bags to sell. The Celine and the MK mini Hamilton that I haven’t listed because I’m using it as a gym bag til I find one I like. Hmmmm...I’m glad I mentioned gym bag. That is something I actually need that I can get during the Black Friday sales. So, I’ll go ahead and clean / condition the MK so I can list it today. That should go quickly. It’s a cute little bag and still in great shape.

You ladies speak to both sides of my dilemma. I’m tired of carrying two bags at times but anything that also fits the laptop is so big. I’m going to hold til I can decide. I’m still scarred from my past flipping. Lol!
You can do it! Just don’t think of it as a project so it looks over you. Just make small choices every day. And, yea, clothes that fit help keep us conscious. That’s why I don’t keep clothes in other sizes. It’s too easy to swap out. Lol!

Keep us apprised of your progress so we can cheer you on! :happydance:

I’m at my ideal weight but my body fat / muscle ratio is ...er...not great. My son is a fitness fanatic and offered to help build a new workout routine for me. I politely declined. LOL!

Oh... hubby is a health nut. He’s a triathlete and a marathoner. I’m the fat wife. [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23] He scolds me everytime I try to enjoy the dessert. My mom gives him stink eye. [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23]

I’m the same way. I hate trying things on in the store. I love Zappos because shipping is fast and returns are so easy. But sometimes you just have to suck it up and go to a store.

It occurs to me that my attitude towards shopping for clothes is the complete opposite of my attitude toward shopping for accessories. When it comes to bags, scarves, and jewelry, I love trying things on and playing with them! :P

I haven’t worn my challenge bag even once. I have to reboot for December.

This is one of my favorites of yours.

Awww! But, I bet he still loves every inch of you. Just wants to make sure you’re healthy.

Mr. S is naturally slim and has to work to keep his weight up where he likes it. Grrrrr! Wouldn’t that be nice? Having to eat MORE to keep your figure. My son is the same way. He, however, goes further than the norm and is a weight lifter. So he eats massive amounts of food to keep his muscle gains.

DD & I just look at them and silently seethe. We don’t have to “work” per se to keep our weight where it needs to be but, we absolutely have to be conscious of what we eat.

And, can I ask the universe to tell me why cookies, cheese and vodka aren’t health foods but kale, beets and liver are??? :yucky:

I’m so upset. I have two handbag tragedies to report.

1) I accepted the offer on the Celine. Then the person backed out of the transaction.

2) I found a bag I REALLY wanted on Friday. But, I wanted to be sure. I went back today to get it and it sold.

I can’t even.

I need to take to my bed. :crybaby:
Oh that's terrible! I saw something I thought I wanted the other night right before bed. I thought I would sleep on it, but I couldn't sleep, thinking about it. I got up at 2 am and bought it. I'm waiting to see if the seller ships.

A few weeks ago I found a bag I was going to buy. The seller had listed it several times, lowering the price every time, so right before I was going to buy I decided to wait for either an ebay coupon or for the seller to relist. When it was relisted, it was priced 35% higher!! I even contacted the seller and told them I would buy at the previous price and they said they had no control over it! Now it has been relisted several times with lower prices. It still has quite a ways to go before it gets back down to the price I will pay. Now there is another seller with a similar bag that is cheaper than the current price on the bag I want, but the similar bag isn't really the color I want. I can't decide if I should get that one because the one I want may never get to the price I want or may sell to someone else before it does.
