2018 resolution - shopping my own bag and wallet collection. Any one else?

Anyone planning to buy a handbag or anything else during the Black Friday / Cyber Monday sales?

Not a handbag but a Microsoft Surface Go. I need something in-between a tablet and a laptop. The deal is $50 off. [emoji3]

I have decided to let fate make the decision. I just dropped it and three other bags off at the shop. If they sell great ,if not then I keep them.

I hope it sells! [emoji3]

I sold it. Money already received through PayPal and I’ll ship it off on Friday.

If nothing else, I made enough money to purchase one of the work bags I’m still dithering over.

Most of my work suits are grey or navy with a few black thrown in. My work dresses are also mostly grey, black and shades of blue with a very few colors like or red to break up the monotony. I have a black work bag. Should I get burgundy or bottle (dark) green next? I’m thinking green because it’s hard to find that color and I can wear it to my sorority functions. (I had actually settled on that color but was waiting for it to come back in stock which it now is.) But then, I have been searching for burgundy which is a color I adore and haven’t found one. I hate the one extra bag thing. That’s one reason I haven’t bought the Strathberry yet. It doesn’t fit a laptop. Argh!

Ok I will be the decentor and say get a laptop bag. Any laptop that is in a bag other than a backpack is going to destroy your shoulder if you have other stuff in there as well. I know it may be more convenient to just use one bag but as a person who now has shoulder issues my suggestion is to keep it separate.

I’m not handbag shopping but, I plan to get some boots, work pumps and some home decor like draperies. I’m hoping I don’t run across any handbags on sale that call my name unless it’s a work bag. I wonder if Strathberry has holiday sales?

I plan to get new jeans. I need to lose weight and keep myself in shape. My brothers and I just made a pack to go to Everest Base Camp in 2020. And to do that, we have to be extremely fit. I’m so out of shape right now. I think it’s time I ditch my signature wide-legged pants otherwise I keep eating. I know it sounds silly, but anything will go at this moment. I start going back to dancing, too. I really hope I can make it.

AARGH! No! The Celine won’t budge. And, I have it listed for next to nothing. I’ve even retaken it’s photos twice. They are doing to bury me with thet doggone bag. Lol!

It’s the Dior Soft Tote thet I bought preloved but didn’t realize had shorter straps than I prefer. I lost 20% on it which isn’t horrible but, I only wore the bag once. Lesson learned to carefully check the specs on any bag I buy.

So now I just have 2 bags to sell. The Celine and the MK mini Hamilton that I haven’t listed because I’m using it as a gym bag til I find one I like. Hmmmm...I’m glad I mentioned gym bag. That is something I actually need that I can get during the Black Friday sales. So, I’ll go ahead and clean / condition the MK so I can list it today. That should go quickly. It’s a cute little bag and still in great shape.

You ladies speak to both sides of my dilemma. I’m tired of carrying two bags at times but anything that also fits the laptop is so big. I’m going to hold til I can decide. I’m still scarred from my past flipping. Lol!

You can do it! Just don’t think of it as a project so it looks over you. Just make small choices every day. And, yea, clothes that fit help keep us conscious. That’s why I don’t keep clothes in other sizes. It’s too easy to swap out. Lol!

I’m at my ideal weight but my body fat / muscle ratio is ...er...not great. My son is a fitness fanatic and offered to help build a new workout routine for me. I politely declined. LOL!

Sorry to have been MIA. I’m hopelessly behind! DH had ankle surgery last week, and it turned out to be much more involved that we anticipated. We thought he was getting a torn tendon and tendon sheath repaired — it turned out to be that, plus another tendon that had separated from the bone, plus tightening ligaments that were, in the surgeons words, “shot.”

DH is now in a splint that weighs about 8 pounds with instructions NOT to put ANY weight on it and to keep it elevated all the time. Since everything is now my job while he heals, the universe decided to gift me with a dog with a bad case of diarrhea and a tree branch that took out the driver’s side mirror of our car during Thursday night’s storm.

I sure hope the saying that bad things come in threes is true, so hopefully that is all I’ll have to handle right now!

So sorry! I hope he heals quickly and everything resolved itself soon

Although I love that shape, I’d buy it in a Burberry banner (my Thistle Grey banner is attached at my desk, and in stock photo). I’m a bit on the fence about the Strathberry metal bar (some angles look chic, but sometimes it looks redundant and contrived to me!) I also feel a bit inundated with Strathberry bags because in the UK every random blogger seems to have been gifted Strathberry bag(s)! How is the brand perception in the US?
