I sold it. :-s Money already received through PayPal and I’ll ship it off on Friday.

If nothing else, I made enough money to purchase one of the work bags I’m still dithering over.

Most of my work suits are grey or navy with a few black thrown in. My work dresses are also mostly grey, black and shades of blue with a very few colors like or red to break up the monotony. I have a black work bag. Should I get burgundy or bottle (dark) green next? I’m thinking green because it’s hard to find that color and I can wear it to my sorority functions. (I had actually settled on that color but was waiting for it to come back in stock which it now is.) But then, I have been searching for burgundy which is a color I adore and haven’t found one. (Limited stock in this color so I’m feeling a little pressure. :panic:View attachment 4259304View attachment 4259305
I'd carry burgundy more, I think. I have several burgundy bags. But I love that green! It would look great with the colors you wear. I agree it is easier to find burgundy bags so I think you should get the green.

Both of these colours are favourites of mine, so I’m no help! They’ll both look great with the colours in your work wardrobe too. You can’t go wrong really. I think burgundy is probably a colour that photographs more accurately though.

I just got an offer today on a bag I’ve tried to sell for a year and a half. The offer is for a little less than I’d like to make on it. I’m torn as to whether I should take it or chance selling it during the holiday season.

I’m thinking sell since it was up for sale so long - both with me and a consignment shop. But, gosh, I feel like I’m taking a bath on it.

What do you think???
I'd take it. It's been hanging over your head for so long, it will be a relief to have it gone.

Anyone planning to buy a handbag or anything else during the Black Friday / Cyber Monday sales?

I’m not handbag shopping but, I plan to get some boots, work pumps and some home decor like draperies. I’m hoping I don’t run across any handbags on sale that call my name unless it’s a work bag. I wonder if Strathberry has holiday sales?
I'm not planning to buy anything on Black Friday/Cyber Monday. I've done so much closet purging this year, it feels lovely to have (1) empty space, for once; and (2) only things that I really love and that fit me.

Congrats!!!

After my purging, I love the space and I’m probably 80% there on loving everything. Some things I’ve had to keep til I find replacements.

I like both. I fine green hard to coordinate but if you will really wear it go for it.

I wasn't going to, but then my bank started tempting me into credit card debt :P I have a standard credit card so my cashback rewards are usually 1%, but for the next week they're offering me 25%. Now that everything feels like it's 25% off, everything on my wishlist feels so cheap!! I'm probably going to get one bag  The rate that I'm buying bags is honestly crazy  I need to spend more time on this thread!

I'm not. If nothing else I'll probably looking into selling few bags online soon. I'm trying to keep the total number of bags under 5 (if that's possible). I think that's why I went for the cuyana because as much as I love my Moreau, I find the lack of zipper annoying. I am also accepting the fact that I'll likely be hauling my laptop from my work almost daily so anything that doesn't hold the laptop just add that "one extra bag" issue when I go to work.

I’m not planning on buying anything. But I was perusing the high-quality, non-designer thread and started looking at RSVP-Paris and also a company calle Haerfest. I’m tempted by both the Box bag by RSVP Paris and the Agnes Satchel by Haerfest. Don’t know if I’ll buy either, but I’m liking the idea of getting a bag or two that have superior craftsmanship without a four-figure price tag.

They’re both beautiful. I’d find the burgundy easier to match.

I’m aspiring to feel the same way about my closet! I would love to have only things that I love and that fit!

It’s a process, though. Today, I brought a Canada Goose jacket to consignment. It’s never fit quite right and the year after I got it, I bought another one that fits much better. It’s been sitting in my closet ever since, except for when my sister visited from San Francisco a few years ago. It was January and she didn’t have a true cold weather coat. If she lived in New England, I would have just given it to her. Hopefully it will sell quickly!

I have been doing the same thing. I hope your coat sells fast.

I don’t think it will be a problem. I’ll treat the green as a neutral because it’s such a dark shade.

I hate the one extra bag thing. That’s one reason I haven’t bought the Strathberry yet. It doesn’t fit a laptop. Argh!

It’s hard for me to truly love something until I can get my hands on it and feel the leather. I’m intrigued by the RSVP-Paris bag because I love box leather but am thinking it may be too boxy.

I’m really drawn the the Agnes. In my everyday bag-watching life, I find myself noticing small structured bags with cross-body leather (not chain) straps. I happened across this one online and thought, “hmmmm.”

Also, I don’t have a bordeaux bag, so there is a hole there in my collection. OTOH, I have to think about whether I don’t have that color because I wouldn’t wear it enough.
