A few days (weeks?) ago, @Sparkletastic started a discussion about not having that many reveals any more. I enjoy this thread immensely, all the different topics going on. Not buying, buying, selling etc. The last few months, I had the urge to add to my collection, but somehow it did not go smoothly. Which was frustrating and I was not in the mood to share. But I will do so now - I think it has ended well and this will be it for the remainder of the year.

So, my YTD statistics: Bags bought 7, sold 0, given away 4, up for sale 3.

I bought my H GP in gold in January, Coccinelle Arlettis in orchid in February, striped Coach Parker, LC LP SH S in beige and Zara embroidered Minaudière in June. In July, I ordered a Del Giudice Anna bag from Italy in taupe. Unfortunately, it was faulty and I was able to return it. Did not order another one. Then, I was indecisive about a regular Mulberry Lily (old style with suede lining), a BV baby Olimpia and an H Bolide. Did not need any of those, of course. I am lacking a blue or green bag, but nothing came up on the secondary market. Then I decided to go for the BV Olimpia in new light grey with dark grey hardware. I ordered it twice, but, maybe because these were the last pieces - I always seem to be late to the party - both arrived faulty, too. One had a big deep scratch at the closure, the other one a white stain on the smooth leather inside. Buying new, I did not want to compromise... And I did not risk to order a third one. All the time, I was considering the Bolide, I tried different sizes in stores and watched the secondary market, but this bag is still very expensive in heavily used condition. I am not sure whether I really would be happy. And colour would be another difficult question. Then I considered alternatives again, which I had already done once before...

So, and finally, this is what I bought and am happy with: I went for a preloved Furla Piper Dome satchel in natural (which is the old style) and a (new style) Furla My Piper S crossbody bag in onice. I feel more comfortable with this variety at a tenth of the price than with ordering a preloved Bolide unseen for about 4K... Say hello to my November additions, please:

I hate that feeling of casting about, trying to find a bag to buy, and bag after bag isn’t quite right. These Furlas are lovely. I especially like the second one — I’m a sucker for gray with gold HW.

And, I agree with @Sparkletastic — I like these better than the Bolide, which I know is a classic, but always runs the risk of looking stodgy if you don’t style it right.

We thought he was getting a torn tendon and tendon sheath repaired — it turned out to be that, plus another tendon that had separated from the bone, plus tightening ligaments that were, in the surgeons words, “shot.”

DH is now in a splint that weighs about 8 pounds with instructions NOT to put ANY weight on it and to keep it elevated all the time. Since everything is now my job while he heals, the universe decided to gift me with a dog with a bad case of diarrhea and a tree branch that took out the driver’s side mirror of our car during Thursday night’s storm.

I sure hope the saying that bad things come in threes is true, so hopefully that is all I’ll have to handle right now!

What a sleek bag! I remember when you were looking at it before. Refresh my memory, what brand is it?

It is miu miu . It was the first time I really liked two bags that I had a such a hard time picking. I showed my dd my collection before she went with dh. They bought it in tan . I really loved the black but the tan is very pretty too and I am sorely lacking a tan bag. Sold the little one I had because it was a bit to small and this one will be just right.
