I don't like using card slots in a bag because I don't want to have to move my cards around. I've left them in bags before. I would much rather move my card case from bag to bag. But then I have even less room for my stuff in tiny bags.

Exactly. Hence maybe WOCs are not for me and what I really need is small bags that don't have card slots.... I don't actually have any bags with card slots anymore I don't think! Yahoo.

I used to have a small bag with card slots, and it was fine... because that small bag was the only bag I owned! (Obviously, this was before I joined tPF and my entire life changed.) :giggle:

But now I completely agree with you. I keep my cards in my little French Flap wallet, along with some cash, and it's easy-peasy to move the wallet from one bag to another. And if the bag is tiny, which is only if we're going out to a restaurant or the symphony or something like that, then I don't need everything in my wallet... I have a little card case that just has room for my driver's license, one credit card, one debit card, and $20 emergency funds.

I have a little card case with my DL, major credit cards, my health insurance card, debit card that I take everywhere. I have a larger wallet that has cash, store credit cards, coupons, and rewards cards. I carry it along with the card case in larger bags but when I switch to a tiny bag, I leave the large wallet at home. This way, I never have to move cards around. I have an emergency $20 in my coin purse.

I like a tiny card case even in bags with slots too. I hadn't considered what you do, Whateve. That's a good idea.

Getting rid of “perfectly good clothes that I don’t love” is the easiest for me. But throwing away ratty pieces that I wear it so often the thread is becoming bare is harder. And throwing away clothes I love and has worn years and years ago when I still thin is the hardest. [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23]
I hear you on the loved clothes and the skinny clothes!

Ok I am trying something kind of new. It's a very big continental wallet that has strap attachments to make it a WOC or wristlet but looks like a pretty clutch or wallet as is. I have moved all my cards to the 24 card slots and am using compartments in it for not only cash and coins but also everything from my toiletry bag fits in it with a couple of cuts to what I used to carry. Now I have absolutely everything for day to day in one large wallet that doubles as an evening bag if needed and I just move that from bag to bag and it fits in all of my bags almost.

What does it look like? Do you have time to show us a picture?

I've my coin pouch in ostrich leather which works as a card/key/coin case. This is my root cause to my addiction to ostrich leather (durable and low maintenance).

But it turns out I could have done much better for myself, I believe, by selling them myself. Oh well you live you learn.
Have you tried local 2nd hand marketplaces? Should be free of charges for private person under certain conditions.

Any critical thoughts on this one? The lamb is simply gorgeous and I believe this was standard C's quality like 10 years ago. I tried current season mini lamb but it felt very fake. I hate re-selling and trying to be more mindful. I had Burberry lamb weekender which I sold with great lost in brand new condition. I seriously think lamb would work in this size bag. It's almost similar size to mini square. The people closest to me are no help. They are great enablers that's why I need your help, dear TPFers! How many years will C's lamb stay "fluffy"? Any critical thoughts are the most welcomed. I don't want to make the same mistake than, for example, with Whitney which also ended up for sale in brand new condition.

Love your expression! And thanks for being tough! *hugs* I fully agree with you. I shouldn't let the hype under my skin. I'm sure there is an army of smooshy lambs somewhere out there at cheaper price range than C and especially I’m not after C – only after fluffy lamb. I’m surprised 2.55 is at the same price point than small Kelly. I'm pretty sure I'll end up selling my mini at some point so thanks for bringing me back to ground. I’m not ready to take -$2k+ hit.
I actually would say to get it if you love it.

3 of my Chanel lamb bags are 10+ years and I bought all of those preloved. They are all still very puffy and the lamb is divine. So they stayed puffy through lots of years, multiple owners, being resold / packaged / shipped and happily used.

I’ve also seen other lamb C bags on the market and on tPF that are even older than mine that are still very puffy.

So my thought is if you store the bag properly and don’t rest your arm on it when you wear it, you should get many years of puffy wear.

That's good to know! I appreciate your insight. However, the one I had my eyes on costs around $5k so I'll have to take $2-3k hit or probably more because as @vink pointed out, it's too trendy. I just ordered GP in black (unicorn colour for a new work horse) so I can't have my little lamb for a while or any other new bag.

BUT once my ban is over, I'll catch my smooshy lamb in preloved condition either from C or contemporary designers. Unless I don't like the "dry" feeling of GP leather and return it. Will see when I receive the bag.

I love the look of your Longchamp. What is it that bothers you about it?

For one, I feel it’s too plain that I can’t wear it without a charm or some embellishment. Second, well, I really don’t know. Maybe it’s that it’s casual but black and leather. It’s actually part of what I offered to my co-workers weeks ago, but there were no takers.

How about tying a cute tiny scarf on the handles. I don't wear mine that often because the flap that goes over the zipper drives me bonkers but I like the clean lines of it so I keep it. Mine is also short handled so is different to carry. If you are still not loving soon ,can you send it to your consignment shop?

We went to outlets to go shopping and dh went with dd . My Mom and I went else where but then dh later says to me he got the last bag so he blew the surprise. Then he asks if I could I wrap it since it is in a box and inside it is completely wrapped because he can never get to be neat. So I get the box and the lid is sticking up so I open it to rearrange the tissue and see the color of the strap sticking out . The rest is wrapped tight but now I know exactly what I am getting. I am so mad at myself but I also did not want to jam the lid down and possibly deform something. I actually gave him a business card with four different items on it and told dd she could change the items if she saw something I would like better. Have you ever accidentally or on purpose blown your own surprise?
