I’m thinking of gifting her a girls’ trip. (We are both travel junkies - other than liking to eat that is probably our only commonality HA!) Is that a good present? Or should a present for a 50th it be a tangible “thing”.

My DH calls this “price neutral.” As in, “OK: price neutral, which one do you like better?” It’s simple but really helpful when decision brain-lock sets in.

In contrast, my eyes (er...eye lol!) lit up when I saw the black lamb classic flap. I started getting happy flutters. And, it being $1000 more than the most expensive tote doesn’t phase me. So, I have to be honest and say cost isn’t really the factor.
I feel resigned with the totes. I’m tired of looking and just want one to appear.

Again. It’s what I want. I need to not fight it. But, I’ll wait til my current black sf sells. It’s not like I actually need a black bag now.
Oh and yes, I had the eye surgery on Thursday! All went well. My sight is a little blurry but that will settle as swelling goes down. Unfortunately, I do have two subconjunctival hemorrhages which look super yucky but aren’t a health concern at all. But, seriously, it looks like I have a zombie eye. So, I’m acting like a bored, self absorbed starlet and wearing large sunnies everywhere including indoors.
Someone said something to me a couple of weeks ago (and about something not at all handbag related, “Sometimes you have to let things come to you.” I kind of feel like this is the way you should be with the black tote.
Just stop looking for now, because it’s becoming a point of stress. And that’s not what handbags are supposed to be about! If the black lamb single flap is what your heart wants, then that’s what you should get! You won’t stop thinking about it until you let yourself have it anyway, which means you won’t be able to decide on any other bags, either!
Glad to hear the eye surgery went well! There are worse things than going all Anna Wintour with the sunglasses while you heal!

This sounds like a good idea. Maybe a summer music-fest destination? Anything from Coachella to Tanglewood to the Newport Jazz Festival could fit the bill.
How on earth can you be BFFs with someone whose views are so different? I have friends I disagree with, and who have very different taste than mine, but not on everything! What do you guys find to talk about?

agreed- me too!!! Being in NYC, I truly feel that I need to be able to actively run/speed-walk whenever I want/have to. These definitely fall under that category! Aldo anything...a resounding NO!!!

An Early girls' trip would be fabulous for her I'm sure. She may treasure the experience even more than a material gift. Plus it'll be with you.
I have 2 pair of UN Mobius shoe/boots, they're very special but I wouldn't say they're the most comfortable.

This month I stepped out of the box and tried some colored bags. I counted them but they haven't all come yet. I look forward to having some fun with them. I have you changed anything up in your collection lately?
I tried a pale pink Swift Bolide Secrete. I have a blush suede Westwood bag and a Paul smith briefcase but nothing of significant value. I'm actually going to discount the little Bolide because of the colour. Mid-bright for handles and corners is light enough
I have been doing OK. This month one scarf out, one in. One bag out, one in (about a minute ago I bought this wicker bag which a friend just posted in Scarf of the Day LOL)
And for the first half of 2018, I bought one scarf more than I sold, and I bought one bag more than I sold, so no celebrating. I hope to reverse that in the second half!
