I’m struggling. What is the best size for a purse like tote if I don’t need to carry a laptop? What size, features and why!

This tote will be used for days I need to carry more and for personal travel withOUT need to carry a laptop.

All suggestions needed from everyone please!

I recommend my Tory Burch Robinson tote, although the middle zip is meant for a laptop, I use it for valuables like wallet passport etc. And the open compartments for other things.

I attended a corporate party last night and I wore this pair of sandals below from Aldo. Only my second time to wear it. And in both instances, I got cramps near the ankle. And my feet were sore the day after. I get lots of compliments on this pair, but wow, how it hurts, lol.

I use to have such a pair, too. I threw it out after the first time. [emoji28] Too risky for me. [emoji28]

Try this brand if you can get a hand on.

With all the torn tendon and feet accidents that I have so far, I can still walk very fast or almost run in them.

Ordered one last bag today even though I said no more. I received a gift card to mz Wallace so I used it while they still have the sale. I hate having gift cards or unused credits sitting around.
Can't wait to see what color you get!

I'm dropping by the outlet hopefully to see more of the Coach space SLGs and charms in person. Will share pics if I get anything.

It’s cute but I would pass. Do you have a good consignment store near you that can help sell your bags? Unless someone else is buying me a gift I never go over my fun money budget. It just makes me feel guilty and then I don’t enjoy the purchase as much. If you really love it find a way to save for it first. Then you will be really happy with it. Hope that helps.
Good point! If my bag doesnt sell, I always fear getting bed bugs with the returned bag. I'm selling my bags on eBay alike auction sites but summer is notoriously known for low sale prices so I don't hope any sales until fall. How do you learn feeling guilty? I don't know how unless I touch my food money but then it means I'd be in major debt. My love towards bags is not that strong.

The consignment shop I bring things to only carries better quality stuff and her shop looks like a designer boutique . It is so cute and clean I never worry about bugs .

I love my Selene and Selene midi from MM as a daily tote and I don't carry laptop.

The midi SIZE:
Height: 10.8” (cm. 27,5)
Top width: top 15” (cm. 38)
Base width: 13.4” (cm. 34)
Depth: 5.9” (cm.15)
Handle drop: 9” (cm.23) I have mine lengthen to 11"

The full SIZE:
Height: 12.2” (cm. 31)
Top width: 17.7” (cm. 45)
Base width: 15.3' (cm. 39)
Depth: 6.3” (cm. 16)
Handle drop: 9.8” (cm. 25) This is perfect for me.

So, these are it for me.

The Coach Taylor Tote is extremely comfortable and not too huge for a tote. I especially love that it's not too bulky, it's feels light, and again it is so comfy! I have it in Dark Turquoise pebbled leather, and the leather is soft and beautiful. https://www.macys.com/shop/product/coach-taylor-tote-in-pebble-leather?ID=2956391

These are so helpful. I’m looking at two totes that are 14.5 x 10 x 5 ish I just wanted to make sure they aren’t too big.
I never carry a laptop, so my totes all (well, there aren’t that many of them, but still, all) fit this category. The Chanel Timeless Tote could probably fit a laptop, but I don’t ask it to. My BV Chain Tote is the medium size —a laptop would be a squeeze, but it fits more than a regular handbag. Since we’ve been talking about Dior, I think the large Lady Dior would fit the bill perfectly.

Hey, does this mean you had the eye surgery, and you’re already back online? Or is that tomorrow?
I just looked up the dimensions of the Chanel TT and they are 10.8″ x 13.8″ x 3.9″. That seems like a good size and I love the look. But, I am just not going to spend $5k on a tote. I’ll have it a long time hopefully but, I’ll wear it once a month maybe and I’m not a tote fan. So, I can’t justify it. :shrugs: I’d rather drop the $5k on a single flap and an on sale new Fendi or new Gucci - both of which I’d wear to death. So, I’m looking at some other options.
I would like to say the size of a Neverfull PM (but with longer strap drop). Of course it is best (for security reasons) if the bag has a top zipper closure. I'm not sure you like the aesthetics of Mulberry but there is now a small Bayswater tote (turnlock closure if I recall right). I'm eyeing that, but not now. When the money tree has grown again.
The Neverfull PM is 11.4” W x 8.7” H x 5.1” D. that isn’t much bigger than my YSL satchel whjch is 11.7 x 8.6 x 5.8 so that would be too small for me. The Bayswater tote styling would be good for work but not for fun.
I agree with @vink. @Sparkletastic - don't you have a midi-Selene? They are very handy.
No, I don’t own any Massaccesi bags.

Soooo...I’m looking at 3 Chanel totes. I shoes all 3 to DD. Surprisingly she liked them in reverse order of cost (and reverse order of my preference.)

• The least expensive is a good price but a little older. Its a little on the smaller side (13 x 10 x 5) and more purse like. I like it but, I think I’d get discontent with it over time and wish I had spent more. It’s not quilted which is nice. But, I’m not sure I’m happy about that. I can’t decide LOL!
• The second is $1k more but, more up to date. It’s quilted and similar in styling to the GST but the double C’s are much smaller (thank goodness). It’s a larger than the first (14.5 x 11x 4.5) and has the center zip section I like.
• The third is the newest of the bunch and $1100 more. It’s similar in look to @catsinthebag Chanel Timeless Tote. About the same size as #2 (15 x 11 x 5) but as the largest of the 3, I wonder if it will feel more business tote than casual use tote.

All are non returnable so I need to be thoughtful.

And, of course I’m distracted by wanting to ignore tote land and simply get more bags I really want. A black single flap caught my eye. LOL! I know I’ll use that so it’s hard to buy the tote. But these are three great bags at good prices. I have had a hard time finding anything I like at a price I’m willing to pay so I think I should make a move.

Thoughts? HELP! :panic:
