As you said, the problem is having to carry it with you before filling it up. I’d probably only use it for designated grocery shopping outings, not during my regular days where I’m stopping at the store on my way home from somewhere else!
Oh wow. You really mean business!! You could schlep a week's worth of food on there!!!

Not a great photo of my new red bag as it is very dreary here.

Ooh, new bag, how exciting!!! :D

Yes, I think so. And I've heard (I didn't invent this, but I can't remember where I saw it) that there should be, in addition to CPW, a category called PPW: pleasure per wear.

So, f'rinstance, my two LV bags... Capucines BB and Montaigne BB... which are a bit on the small side, are honestly not the most practical bags in my collection. I have to plan a bit for their use. They don't fit my iPad, or a notebook, or really anything "extra" other than my absolute basics. But they are my most luxe bags, I adore the shape and the leather, and I always feel very special when I am carrying either of them.

CPW on either of these? Not necessarily so great. PPW? Excellent!
Exactly!!! That too- sometimes I'm just happy about a certain bag even though it's not ideal. Extra bonus if it is!!! :D

I love this idea! For me, PPW is more important than CPW. Why is it, though, that the PPW seems higher on the small, not-so-functional bags? :P Maybe we appreciate them more because we wear them less? :confused1:
my theory is that, because we but then DESPITE anticipating rare usage, we reeeeeally must LOOOOOOVE them in the first place! (That's my situation anyway!!!)

It's my dream to live in a car-optional place, in the US, that isn't too overcrowded. Please tell me where this is if you've found it!

Hahaaa, I'd love to know too!!! Or where mass transit actually WORKS...:/

Whew we are finally in the US and all done with traveling for today. Moving down South tomorrow but in the big Apple tonight.
Loving the little Tumi flight bag for.... Flights!

Exciting! Safe travels!

I'ven't bought a new bag almost a year now but I've a Tod's tote on the way which is a planned purchase because I've been looking for a perfect black tote for a couple of year. I don't know yet whether to keep it or not, so I don't count it a purchase yet.

However, I fell in love with this mini bag by Lum i. 1) The leather is simply divine and so luxurious. 2) In addition, the crossbody strap is very comfy. 3) Plus it's -25% off. right now. 4) My other bag in similar style fell apart a couple years ago. 5) I can't resist any well made leather bags for a good price.

Can someone talk me out, please? My heart says yes but my brain says no.

Reasons of "no": 1) my new year resolution is not to exceed my play money budget (though I can), 2) lifespan is around 1 year due to high probability of job change (if this happens I can wear this only during weekends), 3) I own similar sized evening bag, 4) I haven't succeed to sell any bags within 3 months to downsize my wardrobe. 5) Terrible re-sale value. I'll get around 10 % of what I pay for sale price. 6) I already have a couple of black bags.

It's cute but it looks really heavy and not big enough to keep things in!

When the brain and the heart differ, it is an indication that the purchase may not be a success.

Love this!!

Beautiful bags! I love totes too. I have to stop with them now too as I have all I need.

I know right?? It’s becoming an obsession with me and it needs to stop! Lol!

Top width: top 15” (cm. 38)
Base width: 13.4” (cm. 34)
Depth: 5.9” (cm.15)
Handle drop: 9” (cm.23) I have mine lengthen to 11"

The full SIZE:
Height: 12.2” (cm. 31)
Top width: 17.7” (cm. 45)
Base width: 15.3' (cm. 39)
Depth: 6.3” (cm. 16)

The Coach Taylor Tote is extremely comfortable and not too huge for a tote. I especially love that it's not too bulky, it's feels light, and again it is so comfy! I have it in Dark Turquoise pebbled leather, and the leather is soft and beautiful. https://www.macys.com/shop/product/coach-taylor-tote-in-pebble-leather?ID=2956391

I never carry a laptop, so my totes all (well, there aren’t that many of them, but still, all) fit this category. The Chanel Timeless Tote could probably fit a laptop, but I don’t ask it to. My BV Chain Tote is the medium size —a laptop would be a squeeze, but it fits more than a regular handbag. Since we’ve been talking about Dior, I think the large Lady Dior would fit the bill perfectly.

Hey, does this mean you had the eye surgery, and you’re already back online? Or is that tomorrow?

I would like to say the size of a Neverfull PM (but with longer strap drop). Of course it is best (for security reasons) if the bag has a top zipper closure. I'm not sure you like the aesthetics of Mulberry but there is now a small Bayswater tote (turnlock closure if I recall right). I'm eyeing that, but not now. When the money tree has grown again.

I agree with @vink. @Sparkletastic - don't you have a midi-Selene? They are very handy.
