Hi DC, I have a silver metallic Reissue Camera Case, which is what I would use in the situation you describe. Do you have any metallics in your collection? I find they are great neutrals, go with anything type of bags. Hope it helps!

+1I have to agree with papertiger (although maybe her reasons won’t be the same as mine). To me, the bag is really eye-catching. I love bees! But ... I’m not sure this bag knows what it wants to be. The bee is like a big piece of jewelry (it makes me want to find an old-fashioned brooch and put it on a boxy little bag!), but the canvas logo print and the canvas stripe detail are, to me, more sporty/casual than dressy. I want to see the bee on the green leather Dionysus (how would that be for over the top?) and I want the canvas bag to be a more casual everyday bag. JMHO, but that seems to be the way I feel about a lot of Gucci lately — I like different aspects, but not always how they’re putting them together. Sorry to be a wet blanket on this one!
I, too, think the bee would look much better on a solid leather block colour, deep green, or blood red....

I have been eyeing Bag A for days now, maybe for more than a week. She is heavily discounted. She has been in my Dream Box since. But I just couldn't hit the Buy button. There are 5 color choices (calf) but nothing that is the exact color I 'need'. Then last night I saw Bag B, which is a really expensive piece but also heavily discounted, so a great deal overall. In a color and style I am looking for! But there is just a distinct feature of that bag that I hesitate on. Bag B is about $200 more expensive than Bag A, custom duties and all deals in. I almost pulled the trigger...then stopped. Aside from that distinct feature, it struck me that the shade of grey may not be what I want, since 3 screens tell me 3 different shades (my desktop, my iPhone and my laptop). Then I thought of Bag C, which is actually the same style as Bag A but in suede and available in the grey shade I want (I hope!). But again, more expensive by about $200 inclusive of the deal on it, but that deal will expire in a few hours. (So Bag B and Bag C are almost priced the same.)
So, with that thought of not settling (that's me justifying
), I just bought Bag C! I hope she's the right grey (as she looks good in all 3 screens)! I'm a bit scared though since it's suede...Reveal when I get her.

There's just this feeling that Bag C is a quick choice. So hopefully she is not an unsuccessful impulse buy in the end. There's a chance she'll get to me before this new week ends.Sounds as though Bag C was the perfect choice. I bought from Yoox, and normally they ship from Italy to their Hong Kong office. And then it is Hong Kong that sends to me. HK to here takes only overnight. Yoox uses UPS which fortunately delivers to my area even on Saturdays. (DHL on the other hand delivers up to Fridays only.) So fingers crossed I get her within this week! Btw, Bags A and C are from Yoox. While bag B is from Barneys Warehouse.

But this style of hobo (with structure) and the braided leather closure are positive aspects of the bag for me! Plus the price was reasonable even after duties and taxes.

Sounds exciting! Since you’re afraid it was an impulse buy, can you return it if you change your mind? I’m curious to see what Bag C is!
