Oooooh! Please post the 70's. Were there lots of designs?
I shall post everything once I return to my hotel. I am currently waiting in the line for 90 cm carrés. All I recall is the one (?) 70 cm I found had a bright purple background. It is recent, but I don't recall the name. My mind and my body are comprised at this point. My SA at home told me they are resting 70cm and Maxi Twilly. I have only one or two of each. The 90 cm were my first love, and still the pieces I most frequently purchase.

Would you kindly clarify this for me?
I am not a reseller. Are you saying Hermes is somehow tracing the one-of-a-style pieces and somehow taking action against those who buy at the summer Soldes and immediately list on eBay to resell for profit?
Not exactly. They are not happy about the resellers and know that some hold items Inside the Sale over a couple of hours, be they one of a kind or not. It is also obvious that some people Grab up or request orans irrespective of size. Security tries to enforce the No Photo rule and I did See Security telling people to leave the Sale after having repeatedly violated. I do think though that they were allowed to pay for their purchases. Not sure whether hermes is thinking about this but the Manager said it is Getting worse and worse and they are not happy about theircustomers having such a Bad experience queueing for hours everywhere.

I also do not think that people with small children should get prio treatment like pregnant women. It gives the wrong incentive to drag a long toddlers imho. I stood for more than 8 hours in total- I would not do this to my child

Great haul! Is that a ZP moussie from the current season? Amazed!
Yes, it is in cw 08. It was the only piece.

Omg <faint> I am in love with your entire scarf haul. Brandebourgs csgm?? ZP moussie?? Tiger and Sieste? This is everything I had hoped the SF sale would be!! You did good!!! [emoji7][emoji8]
Thank you! :ty:  I also grabbed this gavroche Les Objets Introuvables that I literally just tried in the store on Sat and thought I'll just wait for the sale and voila!

@weN84 May I please know where you found the pouch? I did not see a line for those?
This was at the home section. There weren't many left in the green cw.

Ask and you shall receive. ;) Palio di Siena and Grand Apparat, both in exact cw that I wanted but didn't want to pay retail for. There was also Savannah Dance in light pink, which I saw and there was only one back in January. I took it as it was the only piece this time around but changed my mind when I went to pay.

Today I also learned there in no de-tax for VAT on summer Soldes pieces.
That has been the case for quite a few years now.

When I was at the sale in January this year, they limited shoes to 6 pairs because of ppl buying multiples in various sizes. The person who was told to choose was not happy and was trying to give excuses on why she had to buy them all but the sale staff wasn't having any of it. They didn't use to limit shoes in the past. While waiting to be serve at the shoe section this January, a lady grabbed all colors of Orans in my size and other sizes. I couldn't even try on a pair of Oran for that reason and there were none left.

This was the first time I saw infants and toddlers at the sale. I think it's absolutely bizarre that ppl bring and subject their children to this madness. I left mine at home and ventured to the sale on my own!

Wow, don't understand why they put current season stuff in the sale- as you said that les object s is also from SS2017!
But lucky you!

I'm assuming returns that are not in store fresh condition for sale? I can't find any flaws with the two items other than wrinkles on the gavroche and the mousseline didn't have the cw tag on the care tag. :shrugs: But yes, I'm on a lucky streak! :tender:

That said, I saw the Cheval Phoenix 140 silk at the sale in January but didn't get any and there were only 1 or 2 and is considered current season back then too.

Congrats to everyone on the great finds! I wish I could be at the sale. I already missed the San Francisco sale because I was away at a conference: I am hoping they will hold a sale in NYC this year as I've never been to any Hermes private sales before . I can't wait to see everyone's haul. Were there a lot of Orans and what colors?

I arrived at 6:05 this evening and got in at 7pm on the dot.
Perhaps they stopped letting people in after 8, but it was open inside until well after 8:30pm. People were still lining up at the the 90cm line though the shelves looked pretty depleted by then.
Paid for my items at about 8:40 and there were still plenty of people in line behind me waiting to pay.

I arrived on the first day at 5am last summer and was part of the first batch to get in. However, I think I would rather wait until night time again to visit in the future because I prefer not waiting as much, even though the stocks are picked through by then.

Good luck to everyone going on Thursday and Friday. Hope you guys find lots of awesome goodies!

OK I'm back at my air conditioned hotel and can report. It's a hot day in Paris. First the bad news: there was lots of cutting in line before the main doors open. I was there before 5 am and and waited patiently. Somehow the number of people in line ahead of me seemed to double by the time the doors opened. Hermès needs to do a better job of policing this at future sales. Even so I made it in (just) with the main group at 9 am. Headed first to belts and scored exactly what I wanted (dark brown belt strap). Boom! Then headed to homewares and bought printed couch throw with enough lime green that it will go well in my living room. Next grabbed some gloves that were exactly what I wanted (black leather with silver button). Then I went to shoes and thought about some but ended up abstaining in favour of a 140 cm cashmere/silk scarf for myself that I hadn't planned on. Did extremely well in the 90 cm scarves, I bought to the limit of 10 and they are mainly for people at work but I managed to get a Hippolis for myself (to frame) (the only Hippopolis in the whole sale they told me) as well as a Maison des Carrès for framing (they had this in several colours). Finally I got a few maxi twillies for the work crowd. So, it was an extremely successful day. Crowd control was fine once I was in the sale but it wasn't good before I got in--those line cutters should be ashamed of themselves. View attachment 3753789View attachment 3753790

Love everything! Especially the Tyger... Brandenburg is quite the find! I have this one too and it was hard to find even at full price , I think it sold out in the US.

On my way out of the building, I met a delightful French gentleman sporting a new blue and white Ikat scarf and toting a white shopping bag from today's sale. He bemoaned how poorly managed the shoppers were this year. We saw many parents with young children--even babies--in tow, and they had those children in line with them for 6+ hours. I cannot conceive of subjecting a young child to that experience.

He also shared with me that Parisians are now limited to 1000 Euro in cash purchases per day, while foreigners can purchase up to 15,000 Euro of merchandise per day. He has been going these twice-yearly Hermes sales for 24 years and said this is a new rule promulgated by the French government. It seems dreadful unfair! He had to put back half of his selections at the cashier. Even though he offered to pay the approved amount with cash, some with a local check (which they do accept from Parisians) and place the balance of his pieces on a credit card. However, they would not allow it.

@weN84 I also got some current year silks. Every piece I purchased looked to be in pristine condition. I could not even see a "S" on the care tag or elsewhere for this sales merchandise and I was expecting to see some sort of marking designation the pieces to indicate had been purchased at the Summer Soldes. No tissue paper or orange boxes for silks, but shoes had orange boxes and drawstring sleeper bags.
