That's a great idea. Papertiger, post the bag/s you'd like a strap for, we can find ideas.Regarding bag straps, lots of brands make them now, but the price points can be crazy.
Fendi, the most popular one with it's beautiful designs.
LV.
Longchamp had two that went on sale, but were shoulder strap length.
Rebecca Minkoff has some, and probably the brand with the most variety.
Kate Spade has some, but the design on the straps left much to be desired imo.
I haven't seen much from MK anymore, do they still have them?
Mark Jacobs and Lowe have some in Nordstrom.
Valentino has some which would complement lots of people's bags here!
Places like TJ Maxx have no brand ones for cheap, which is where I got mine, as I wasn't sure if I'd like a different strap for long.
If there's a specific bag needing a strap, please post and we can all shop for you!
Browsing is the fun part lol.
Thank you very much for your knowledge. I really love what you said about the year I was born. [emoji4] Quite funny that most of the style I like is similar to the one I grew up with. Is that how fashion influences people? And is that why we sometimes think designers just recycle stuff?
Your clutch is amazing. It looks really well kept. And I like how you pair it with that shades of red and burgundy. The hat look really cozy.
It's very pretty and that price is amazing! What a steal. Happy for you to have found such an amazing deal for your carefree bagSo, my carefree bump around bag came in and I'm very happy with it.It's the Rebecca Minkoff Isobel Satchel. View attachment 3737077
I really needed a top zip, leather, convertible satchel that is roomy, "quiet" on branding and in personality and a little slouchy for low profile on my body. Plus, I was inspired by @dcooney's new carefree bags to keep the cost of the bag low. I found this brand new for $100 which is 70% off!
I'd read a lot of negatives about RM and was a little apprehensive. My big worry was that the leather would feel plasticky or cheap. But it's very nice - certainly better than the price I paid would suggest. And I don't see any obvious places for performance failure (poorly attached handles, etc.)
I like that - other than the zipper - it has black hardware. I think that helps the bag look a little more expensive. View attachment 3737079 The only two things I don't like are that the base of the bag is a little too unstructured so it could sag and the tassel hangs oddly when the shoulder strap is used. I'll just get a cheapy bag shaper or bag organizer for the sag and cut off the tassel and tie it through the handle hardware. Easy peasy!View attachment 3737083
And since I am loving @msd_bags new strap, I have to find one for this bag. I think it would be perfect to dress it up a bit. But, since the strap will likely cost more than the bag,I need to get one that will also work on my new Fendi and maybe even my black PS Small Courier. I don't think I have any other bags that would look good with a new strap.
So, anyway, this is a perfect carefree bag. I won't count it in my collection but I'll be very glad to have it when I need a bag that I can't baby.![]()
Stunning as alwayswearing one of my recently acquired H scarves, feels so right for my job...![]()
Woohoo! Enjoy the sun and your Furla! Finally breaking out my Furla Julia! The sun is finally out again.
Yippee! I got email notification that my carefree bag is coming in today. I'm hoping it will work.I'm also hoping this will stop my buying itch. I'm struggling to stay on Pause Peninsula which make zero sense. I love my bags and only have the one gap - the black tote - to fill.
Part of this is avoidance. I'm focused on buying clothes but don't want to physically shop![]()
v online shopping. Argh! I love getting new clothes. I just hate hunting them in stores. It takes up so much time (hear the whine creep into my voice?). I'd rather be doing something fun in the clothes. Not looking for them.
I really need to discover new brands that have the quality, style and cut I want with predictable sizing. Then I can order online.LOL!
Do all of you have trusty "go to brands" for your bags, clothes, shoes, etc. ? Or do you enjoy the thrill of finding new when you shop?
I hate shopping for clothes. I'm not the woman who has one size and everything fits in that size. I have to try on everything or I'll be returning it. Therefore, I don't enjoy it at all.
I was 10 to 19 during the 70's, which is still my favorite decade of clothes. The beginning of the 70's was pretty boring. I went to a private Catholic school and had to wear a blue plaid jumper with white blouses and white knee high socks. Every day. I think I was in the 6th grade when we were allowed to wear pastel color blouses and navy knee high socks, if we wanted to. When I got to high school it was 1975 and of course going out with friends I got to have more clothes to wear when not at school. We wore bandanas on our hair with the ties in the back, peasant tops, tie dye, peace sign jewelry and bell bottoms!! Our rule was the leg had to fit all the way over your head to your neck, or it wasn't near enough bell! My 2 favorites I'm posting pics of, these aren't the actual ones I had, but very close. I could have wore these forever!

The blue were my absolute favorite, red plaid was second.
Thank youYou're the first person I know who does that job. I didn't know there was a job like that, but I have no doubt you could do it better than most men. Women are very hard, meticulous, multi tasking queens!
Very useful friend to have! She is a true tomboy. It's kind of funny we became such good friends, because I like girly girl, pink, perfume, jewelry, bags kind of stuff and she can drive her own motorcycle, shingle her roof and change the oil in your car!
Dresses make life easy I think - one thing sprung from the wardrobe and you're pretty much coordinatedAnother dress lady. I'm outnumbered. [emoji23]

Absolutely gorgeous bag, it looks fantastic with this scarf tooThanks for all the skirt love everyone, I find it very useful. It comes up roomy so anyone thinking about it may want to size down.
Yes please, that would be great.
Budget under $1K, but cheap as you like.
Not too OTT but I think it will be hard to detract from the beauty of the bag so if in doubt show me.
Contrasting colour fine
No rough edges on the underside or even things that could scratch the bag if worn 'dangling'. Box leather scratches easily as does skin.
First and fore-mostly, would love to find a strap for this bag:
H Bolide (very much like an Alma or Gucci Catherine). The strap rings are fine, ghw and fairly small (located next to the handles, diagonally one each side opposite). Shoulder length is more appropriate because of the depth of the base it would not be a good X-body.

Those, don't laugh, are without a doubt my favorite article of clothing I've owned. Yes. I'm weird.I like the first one. [emoji4]
Yeah, I just can't. I think it's great a lot of women here wear dresses, but I'll always be more comfortable in jeans and shorts.Very useful friend to have!
Dresses make life easy I think - one thing sprung from the wardrobe and you're pretty much coordinated [emoji38] they don't need to be "dressy" IMO but it still looks like you've made an effort (even though you haven't)
