2017 resolution - shopping my own bag and wallet collection. Any one else?

Mine is black patent with ghw and bright blue lapis. They were also made in non-patent, lizard and croc (not sure about ostrich but I can dream). The stones I've seen so far have been lapis, tiger's eye, onyx, malachite, all look lovely. Prob only 1 or 2 were made in each combo so you see why I'd have to time-travel, years from about 1968-'72. Superb bags but mine is a bit of train-wreck due to someone incorrectly storing it.

Do you have tips for choosing pre-loved/vintage bags? I've been trying to find any brand bag from my birth year and it's been difficult.

Meanwhile, I was cleaning up my guest room today. It was a train wreck from me dumping my things from the trip and not having had proper time to put things away. I keep my bags out on shelves and tables in this room. So, I had a chance to look at all of my bags again. My intention was to put a fresh eye on them and see if after having made my latest purchases if I need to part with any. And honestly, I don't see one I want to let go.
Sometimes I wonder how what are essentially leather sacks can make me so happy.

I have a question for everyone - do you have a bag in your collection that you can imagine wearing and wearing and wearing till it falls to bits? I'm sometimes fickle with bags, and move them on when I get bored, but I've had this goatskin Pandora for about 3 years. I've worn it regularly and in all sorts of weather, slinging it around without babying it, and all it does is get softer. Such an easy bag to live with

i was trying to re-organize my closet/storage today, piled all bags in front of the closet and my DH was trying to be of help, suggesting the way of re-arranging them, when i declined another (of many) suggestions, he said - if they don't fit in, maybe it's time to get rid of some??
His luck i didn't have anything sharp or heavy at hands!!!!
That's it, none is leaving any time soon
i love them all 
no matter how often i use them, i am not ready to part with any (apart from those that i put aside earlier, but they are not in the closet anyway)But good thing is that i don't want any new either... happy as is

My plan during my ban next year is to make the bag shelf look pretty.
DC had some cubes she was using to stack her bags, I want to do something like that. And get the pillows I have to fit each bag properly, which will take a bit of sewing, but that'll make storage easier.
Who knows? Maybe next year I'll discover space for 2019! [emoji23]

@solange what a great question! I think I'd have to go with my navy nylon dooney & Bourke satchel- it zips up and has a strap for crossbody, and super lightweight. Mot exciting but will sure be super functional and practical to join the Doctor
