2017 resolution - shopping my own bag and wallet collection. Any one else?

I didn't want to take my beige & black Chanel tote because I only wanted to take WG jewelry and it's YG. Also it's not really "packable" and would take up a lot of space. ☹️When you posted the question on a tote for your trip, i already thought about your newly acquired Chanel tote. I'm just not sure what the closure is on that one. I wondered why you didn't even consider it then. I think it's a lovely tote although you really have to strategize about the items you will pack especially if you will buy a bag there. During one of my trips to the US, my personal item during the travel was a Cole Haan bag I was intending to sell through my sister's ebay account as I knew I was also bringing home a lot more other bags.
A few weeks back I think I chanced upon a discussion (can't recall if old posts) in the Hermes scarf thread about how some H scarves are stiffer than others. And that's true of my 2 H scarves!

They are both light though it was only the leather one I was looking at . I will go back and check what other colors they have.
Scotland, on a mountain. I'd love to say that's where I lived, I am jealousScotland, but on a mountain so we have our 'microclimate' and I'm only there for only approx. 6 months of the year. Summer is like butterfly there, light, bright, fragile and very fleeting

@DC, I agree with Sparkle, a lighter shade would be nice for spring/summer, although I do like the bag on the left.
I told him I would pass for now . Though I will go back and get one when it is time for fall. The fall colors are beautiful.
Seems like Tods has the kind of bags you like that's leather and light, so at least you've narrowed down the options!

Question for everyone. Do you ever resist buying a bag you love because you purchased a similar one for a much lower price? This could be for any reason: you bought before price increases, on sale, preloved, etc.?
I'm coming clean on my struggle with the black tote. This is why I haven't bought despite having an idea I needed one since I sold my Dior tote last June. I purchased my Chanel beige/black tote in truly excellent condition for only 14% of the retail price because I stumbled across an eBay auction that didn't rise as it should have (the seller didn't describe it or photograph it well.) So, when I sent the bag in and the authenticator verified it, I felt like I won the lottery!
Fast forward to now. Logically, I know lightening won't strike a second time. But, I'm (unrealistically) anchored by the price I paid for the bag I have. And suddenly "reasonably" priced Chanel totes (well, as reasonably priced as we can ever say they are) look like brazen highway robbery.
So, I'm curious. Have you ever gotten anchored by a serendipitous, low priced purchase you made? Do you talk yourself out of the box or do you let that be the new benchmark?

No, I don't. I buy if I deem the price reasonable for me and ignore if I deem the price too high. I tend to go with the "market price" coz coincidence is coincidence. It's unlikely to repeat, or if ever, not often. And hanging on that will just spoil my life.
I keep my faith for something else.

Realistically I'll get a hangtag, and if I'm lucky, the jetpack rexy charm.

I think part of my problem is that I've been really successful in snagging bags at great sale or preloved prices. And for me, half the fun of getting my bags is the scoring of a deal. So I keep thinking...maybe.No, I don't. I buy if I deem the price reasonable for me and ignore if I deem the price too high. I tend to go with the "market price" coz coincidence is coincidence.
